Exploring The World Of Dragon Age: Inquisition

GI:With Dragon Age: Inquisition, Bioware has looked back to its roots and is emphasizing player agency and exploration in the world of Thedas. The lead developers were proud to show off the new, larger regions that they've built for players to explore on foot and while mounted. Lead world designer Keith Warner was gracious enough to let us film his monitor as he explained the process for building and testing the world of Inquisition. Creative director Mike Laidlaw had some interesting thoughts on the problems with narrative in an open-world game, so stay tuned to the end of the video to hear him discuss whether or not this is a stepping stone for a fully open-world Dragon Age game.

Just give me fluid combat, that's all I want..

Looks like it's coming together nicely though, I really want this to be what I'm hoping it's going to be.

It does look like it's turning out well. I think the biggest message being sent across in these videos is how much thought, effort, and feedback is going into making this game. So far I like what I see and I hope the game is great.

Summons753945d ago

Eh, I won't believe that this will be any good until it releases. After DAO bioware hasn't been on the ball and are nothing but greedy liars.

RIP Bioware

Looks incredible so far. I really appreciate that a lot of the fan feedback seems to have been taken to heart by the developers also.

British_Knight3945d ago

I agree with you. I love when developers - companies in general (Microsoft) - listen to fan feedback and make the appropriate changes to appease everyone.

Whatever happens in the final build I dont want the sword on my back chopping my own horse into two.

British_Knight3945d ago

Bioware has to change that; it bugged me a bit. lol

Truehellfire3945d ago

So from what I am getting from these trailers is that the game world will include areas throughout Thedas, and not a single "country". In this trailer, they mention Eastern Ferelden and Orlais. I kind of like this idea, as it allows for different environments. Forests, Mountains, Deserts, etc.

Yea Im liking how varied and open it looks

Dragon Age: Inquisition Retro Review – A Nostalgic Leap Short Of Legendary

Dragon Age: Inquisition, developed by BioWare, is the third installment in the cherished Dragon Age series. It represents a major evolution from its predecessor, Dragon Age II, incorporating elements that were well-loved in the original Dragon Age: Origins but also introducing new features that stand on their own. While Inquisition improves upon Dragon Age II in many respects, it falls short of the exceptional standards set by Origins.

The quality of these free games has been awesome. Before anyone says they are not free I was already giving Amazon $6 a month for prime shipping and video this isn't why I pay for my subscription

Teflon02954d ago

Still technically paying for it, even if it wasn't your intent. They've been giving out games with Twitch prime, they just changed the name. It's the same sub as that was. If you weren't aware, great. But you're paying for it.

That being said, I don't personally care. For me as long as you're willing to pay that for 1 service and get more. I personally take it as free. Like prime video, music though the prime version is trash, and all the Twitch benefits are all free to me because I didn't care about those when I got it. Just comes with it.

Only noted because that's technically wrong as a defense to that argument, whether I'm on yourside with the initial statement lol

mkis007954d ago

It's free to anyone who has already been paying. IDK why people need to split hairs.

TinkerNation954d ago

How does Prime Gaming work? Do you keep the games, or is it only as long as you have Prime?

Germaximus954d ago

lol Nice distraction from how they're now charging people to increase viewership. It's "just an option." /wink lol
