Purchased a HD DVD Player? - You May Get Money Back

Did you plop down big dollars for a high-definition DVD player using Toshiba's HD DVD format - which recently lost the battle with Sony's Blu-ray format?

Well, depending where you bought it, you may be eligible for a refund or a gift card to ease the disappointment.

Wal-Mart Stores is offering refunds for HD DVD players purchased on or after Nov. 1. To qualify, customers must return the players by April 30 and have a receipt in hand. Original packaging isn't required.

I can't help but wonder why retailers are trying so hard to get HD DVD players back. Things that make you go, "Hmm?"

when did retailers start being so generous?
why would they feel the need to refund any money to anyone? something odd about this.

I'm beginning to suspect that the HD market's gone a little soft with HD DVD out of the way.

HD DVD is now a worthless product that's no longer be continued but businesses still have products to push so if Walmart could lock up your money to buy the valid products in their stores then it's good for them.

They'll obviously put the refund on a walmart card or something where you can only spend it at a Walmart store. It just helps to move more inventory.

Well that's good for all the suckers I guess. Doubt many people kept the receipt or will even know about this though.

Name someone that isn't trying to look us these days maybe cdpr.

Take two, ubi and yes even PlayStation are pushing us to own nothing and be happy with our live service ad injected games on a sub so they can raise prices at will and take access away when they see fit.

If it keeps up I'll be a full time retro gamer and this industry will be crashing hard

As rediculas as it sounds we need government reforms to defend consumer rights
