Mythos is essentially Diablo the MMO hack and slash dungeon romp. Played from an isometric perspective, the left mouse button is your greatest weapon. Left-click on enemies to attack, left-click on NPCs to commune and obtain quests, left-click on barrels to destroy them, yadda yadda. And random loot drops like it's going out of fashion.
Oh, and in case you were unaware, you'll be able to download it and play it for free. Considering it's free, it's a real treat and anyone overlooking it when it's released should have "TWIT" scratched onto their foreheads with a rusty compass."
Hanbitsoft and T3Fun have announced that the open beta for their online action role-playing game, Mythos Global is now live. European fans can once again join in the action after Mythos Europe was closed down last year. Mythos is set in the land of Uld, a fantasy world arisen from the ashes of a dark and terrible war. Uld is a place where many different races live and where gods try their best to gain more power and influence among their followers.
DSOGaming writes: "Sad news for fans of MYTHOS, as Frogster’s community manager announced that MYTHOS Europe will be closing its doors on October 27th at 12:00 CEST (11am UK). According to the team, MYTHOS enjoyed great popularity with the launch in April and the numerous registered users ensured a good start. The desired long-term success unfortunately did not follow and under these circumstances, they have made the difficult decision to discontinue the operation of MYTHOS."
Massively: The last time we profiled Mythos on Massively, it was in service of some new content. It's no surprise, then, that Frogster is once again expanding the free-to-play hack-and-slash MMO. This time the new bells and whistles can be found on the Fog Island of Horror, and in case the name didn't drive the point home, it's a pretty scary place.
I'm really fond of Mythos tbh :) Been playing the beta a bit, and it will be nice if they just fix the little lag I experienced when playing, it would be a perfect pastime at work, lol.
