+ Posted by Edward Ma // Senior Combat Designer, Superbot Entertainment

"We’re back on PlayStation.Blog this week to share our next two character combat videos for PlayStation All-Stars Battle Royale. Today, we’re examining strategies for Fat Princess and Sly Cooper with Game Director Omar Kendall.

Fat Princess
Fat Princess, much like Sweet Tooth, is a character who has never found herself participating directly in battle, so one of the challenges for us was to design her play style from the ground up. "

Any news on new beta codes? :P

Omar914303d ago

I have a question about the supers for whoever has played the beta. Can you counter block a super with another super?

Yeah you can if you time it right . At least the lvl1 and lvl2 you can. You also dodge the lvl1 and lvl2. Lvl3 you're pretty much screwed.

I love playing as sly cooper. he's such a troll. L1 and he can be invisable as long as he wants until he attacks but after he attacks he disappears again. He's the only one who can safely avoid a level 3 special attack because he is virtually impossible to find and there for attack.

It wouldn't have mattered, Sony would've rushed it out and left it to die. More so now than before with their focus now being on SP narrative driven AAA games.

Oh, but somehow Smash Bros. 64 made it work?

It just couldn’t compete with Smash Bros. and it wasn’t a free-to-play game like Multiversus.

PapaBop547d ago

I think it released at the right time. It's just after the success of Smash and Multiversus, it's finally time for a sequel.

I'd be all in on a remake or remaster of the original. I enjoyed it because I didn't sit there and compare every aspect to SSB. I just enjoyed it as it was.

Sony should make part 2 and dump a good amount of money on it. Scrap super only kills and it's bound to succeed.

Yes the power kills spoilt it completely WTH was they thinking you should have hp bar that's it

God of War: Ragnarok Weirdly Makes PlayStation All-Stars Battle Royale Canon

God of War: Ragnarok has plenty of fun references to PlayStation history, but now fans have discovered a conversation that calls back to PlayStation All-Stars Battle Royale — the crossover fighting game released for the PlayStation 3 and PlayStation Vita.

I wouldn't say canon. More like an easter egg.

Deathdeliverer553d ago

That’s interesting. It actually does make it canon lol. He mentioned it in a mainline game. I’d say that’s pretty cool.
