May I also add,Kameo(Got 8.7 from GS)on the Xbox 360 recieved a higher score than Resistance(Got 8.6 from GS)for the PS3,what a joke website Gamespot is!;)

Took the words right out of my mouth. It's hard to find a single credible source for a review anymore. Take a bunch of scores from many different sources and decide for yourself.

The 1Up crew seem to be doing quite well as far as not letting publishers push them around. It's hard to trust anyone, but I like the fact that they stuck to their guns when Ubisoft, Midway and (I think EA sports) said they wouldn't be sending previews to them.

I'm glad those people are in the industry.

Why are you guys complaining about this score when you havent even played the game yet? Who cares what they gave other games? You havent played this yet to even judge it!

...people get upset if a reviewer doesn't give the score they were hoping for (or even deserves). Honestly, you're much better off reading the actual review, rather than just basing your opinion around a score. Some sights don't weigh certain aspects as much as others... take IGN for example; They tend to weight technical deficiencies more in the score than say, GameSpot. This doesn't mean one site is better than the other, it's just a preference in what you look for in a game. I personally like IGN's reviews (although their scores can be arbitrary at times) they break down the elements of the game relatively well.

This thread is ridiculous. This game has looked frickin' awesome for months and was expected to garner high scores (and it's already received a couple). Just because Gamespot gives a game a good score doesn't mean the game deserves a bad score; it just doesn't mean as much as IGN giving a game a good score.
