Gematsu writes: "Cooperative third-person shooter Helldivers II has sold 12 million units as of May 5, publisher Sony Interactive Entertainment and developer Arrowhead Game Studios announced."
Earlier today, Arrowhead Game Studios released the 1.000.305 update to fix the issue with the Operation: Enduring Peace mission that was causing enemies to spawn on the drill, causing it to be destroyed quickly which prevented players from completing the mission.
Valve is cracking down on Helldivers 2 players trying to get around the PSN restriction and banning accounts.
I'm this is abit different to the headline. If says that it's just people in Russia and Ukraine experiencing this. Given restrictions mean their can't legally operate in Russia and bns belarus
This is about Russia and Belarus and the war on Ukraine, however I don't know why the ban is happening now? The people in these countries have been using VPN for ages now
People will outsource their thinking to AI, they will give all their information and location to TIKTOK and other social media platforms. They allow Valve to own their entire game collection that they bought. But a PSN account is where they draw the line... (this is for the westerners)
For the non westerners, Sony should let them play games. There's a war and times are tough. People need an outlet.
Windows Central writes: "Many PlayStation Studios games that are ported to PC get dedicated PS5 DualSense support, which allows users to experience haptic feedback and adaptive trigger support without actually having to own a PS5.
According to Hermen Hulst, head of PlayStation Studios, it's still the company's intent to launch the bigger single-player games on PS5 first, before later bringing the games to PC. This might not be the case for multiplayer games however, which are considered okay to launch simultaneously on console and PC."
My guess is after god of war. Probably last of us 2 that's a almost 4 year old game now and by the time it's released on pc it will be more than 4 years old or close to 5.
Congratulations Arrowhead Game Studios!
And well-deserved. I'm having a ball of a time so far. Just need to change out my heavy armour, it's a murder on my stamina and sprinting.
SIE managed to find success with gaas quicker than I suspected. Arrowhead did a great job getting past that initial launch difficulty, I've been playing again recently doing mostly solo missions. Can't even get off the damn planet after completing everything, lol.
12 million is crazy, but it also paints an opposite picture to what the forums would have you believe about gaas. And it being more successful then the single player games of late also kind of proves to an executive gaas IS. what the consumer wants.
daaaaymn
deserved. good game
