Robert Bowling has all but revealed why he left Call of Duty, Infinity Ward and Activision following his sudden departure.
Activision has not launched the Warzone and Modern Warfare 3 Gundam collab cosmetics, and also freebie skins in celebration of Pride month.
Nice to have inclusivity. Happy Pride Month to the Puerto Rican community & the LGBTQ community here in NYC.
Captain Price's fate at the end of 2011's Call of Duty Modern Warfare 3 could've been very different, as this new post-credits scene reveals.
The developers have provided a little band-aid while PlayStation players attempt to get back into MW3.
Guess he's tired of being limited to Call of Duty
Perhaps there was no innovations left for the franchise and he just got bored of regurgitating the same game in different clothing each time.
There's a genuine desire to be passionate about games again from what he said.
Take my hat off to the guy. Wanting to get further and create better things but the greedy companies want to keep pushing the same stuff out there! Good on you dude!
Bowling took years of bombardment from the world's most insanely rabid gaming fan-base. The job he did as community manager there, regardless of what you might think of the series, was gargantuan in helping Activision and Infinity Ward sell their product. He tirelessly replied and communicated to millions via twitter, taking the flak when Call of Duty was at its absolute worst despite not having directly developed the game in any way.
His outlook here is absolutely right. He must be more exhausted with Call of Duty than anyone on the planet, and that's saying a lot. It's indicative of the current player base for the game. Why limit yourself to just one experience?
Best of luck to Bowling in the future. The dude worked his ass off in a thankless role. He deserves a break.
It doesn't seem there are any hard feelings here, so it'll be nice to see where he goes from here.
