i think they mean , say you get an 11 kill streak, get the hele reward, you die, the reward is still usable after death.

infact after reading the article again, the title could be correct, depending on what support mode is. maybe its some all guns blazing air support cluster f*ck.

How dumb can you get, only SUPPORT kill streaks wont get reset when you die, support kill streaks arn't that good, it's stuff that you would have gotten from perks in the older games, so they have made this CoD harder, something the fans wanted.

Did they ever? Serious question. I might be mistaken or something, but pretty sure you kept your killstreaks after respawning in most, if not all, the previous COD titles.

Edit: Or are they implying your kill (streak) count continues after you've died? If so, that isnt a streak, and something I very much doubt they'd do.

actually, if they do it right it could be awesome. just hear me out, what if it cost like 30 kills to get a chopper instead of usual 5-7, but if you died the count wouldnt get messed up, that would eliminate 100% of the campers because they'd just want to rush to get kills and most of enemy team would be around objective. thats my take, but it'll prolly be just like the last 4 call of dutys, sigh.

Why am I not surprised that the animations look exactly the same, the graphics and everything all look the same.

The only thing that was different were a few weapons and equipment and loadouts. Seriously?

I wanted to like this game as I know all my buddies are going to get it and if I want to play with them I have to get this hunk of junk also.

Man I wish people would see that Battlefield is clearly a lot more fun of a game.

I have been desperately trying to get my friends to watch the gameplay videos for Battlefield. The ones that have listened to me and watched the videos are getting it. The others, well their stubborn and the only thing they ever play are CoD games.

This "new" CoD game could have sufficed as a title update for MW2.

I completely agree with this. Pretty much everyone of my friends is a CoD fanatic, and its the only game they ever play. So in order to play with friends, I'm pretty much required to buy this game. However, they may have to wait a while for me to play since I still gotta get Arkham City, BF3, and Uncharted 3. :P All of which I will have more fun with than CoD.

I bought BLOP's for the same reason and then got rid of it. when I said I was selling it only 2 weeks after buying it they thought I was joking. I got rid of it and never looked back...

Funny thing is, I did exactly that. I sold BO about a month later and got like $45 so I bought another game. But they wanted me to play with them so much, they bought it for me again. I guess I just couldn't disagree with a free game. :P

I know the term "$60" map pack is a bit exaggerated, but honestly after seeing all those videos on gametrailers.com, it really does look exactly like MW2. Everything is the same, the sound effects, guns, graphics, gameplay. EVERYTHING.

I mean I am usually one to back up the statement that there's only so much you can do to a FPS to make it different, but clearly Battlefield 3 has shown that you can make the same game but improve it in every way imaginable.

Its not called a killstreak anymore, its been changed to a strike change, as it doesn't need to be a "streak" anymore.

Also its only like this if you take the "Support package" which are bonus for the whole team.

Assault and Specialist packages I think mean the chain resets on death still.

I believe what this means is that the [support] killstreaks won't be reset after dying... If you all recall the leaks, there are 3 tiers of killstreaks.

Also, the [support] killstreaks aren't like chopper gunner and things like that, so it's not like MW2 with massive killstreak whoring. At least I don't think so. Never know with IW...

I think you're right. Sounds like they are actually trying to keep killstreak whoring under control. The support killstreaks are pretty light action. The opposite would be a disaster.

I don't see this being the worst of features because if your kill streaks don't reset after death, then you can only use three for the entire match. It sounds like a replacement for the death streaks.

It's probably a good thing. They really like the over-the-top killstreaks, but the problem they had was that nobody could take the damn things down.

This way, a support package guy can easily take out a ridiculous killstreak because he doesn't need to stay alive to earn it. This goes both ways, of course, but at least offensive and defensive rewards will always go toe-to-toe.

Calm down people...it's only for the Support strike package....if you have the assault package (Predator, AC130, etc.) it goes back to zero after death.
