Modern Warfare 3 Already Being Played?

While it’s been rumored to have been in development for some time, there’s been no confirmation of its existence. However, there’s a slight chance that’s about to change.

Such things have been faked in Photoshop, (remember those Black Ops images on a multiplayer beta back in the Autumn?) but it's hard to judge at this moment in time. Maybe if we saw more people on the alpha test then maybe it might convince more of us.

thats because treyarch suck at making cod games. especially since they take most of their stuff from infinity wards previous games. i would really like to see them make their own game instead of piggybacking.

yeah true. mw3 will surely be better than black opss so that will sell but i fear for the next game. another aspect of cod is the glitching community. millions of people glitched in private matches on mw2 shotgun jumping and this couldn't be done online so why did treyarch remove this feature? they also but barriers on every roof etc so there was no way of glitching in private games. the fact is glitching kept people that hated mw2 playing.

I wouldn't doubt it if people were already playing MW3. I mean, They only have to change a couple things in MW2 and they call it a whole new game.

If you search that guys username on google you'll find that he's a member to several different ps3 hacks sites. And seeing as a jailbroken ps3 can run custom .pkg files that can say you're playing anything you want it to say, I don't think much more needs to be said. Just put two and two together.

Sledgehammer is making the next COD not IW. I don't think IW even exists anymore accept for a couple of staff members that are still there, I wouldn't be surprised if they merged the two devs into one, IW (well what's left of IW) and Tryarch.

I believe since Activision owns the rights to COD Respawn will not be able to put COD in the name. But I do believe that the next game they make with EA will blow Black Ops and W@W out of the water. I still play the first MW daily and by far my favorite.

Create a homebrew, edit the SFO and change the name to Modern Warfare 3: ALpha Testing. And then play the homebrew,others will see it as MW3.

My thoughts exactly. Seems pretty easy to fake, although the guy probably just put himself right on top of Sony's ban list for playing unofficial software.

Plus, anyone testing likely wouldn't want to be broadcasting the fact that he's playing yet-to-be-announced software likely covered by an NDA. Putting "Modern Warfare 3!!!!" in his comment is just too stupid for anyone employed by Activision to do.

Lol Inifnity Ward has a private network they play on, for Xbox 360 its called PartnerNet for sony I bet they have there own private network.

But Infinity Ward and all developers do not test out there games on the public network, only the last couple weeks of development they play on public network.

I enjoy MW2 and BO multiplayer but im done with the series. I'm not going to spend 50$ every year for similar products. BO is my last for a while. Maybe if they change things up a few years from now, ill jump back in , but im content with BO zombies and MP. Too many other games anyways!

haha adorable. The second game I played for my PS3 I recently got was KZ2. Terrible. The graphics are great, but the single player is pointless and horrific voiceover and the multiplayer is sub-par at best. So slow and sluggish.

Not to sound biased or anything because I own all the consoles, but I doubt they are doing alpha testing on the PS3. They use the 360 dev kits for all the Call Of Duty games. So this is obviously some kind of photo edit or hack from the new PS3 hacks going on.

Huh? No, I was just noticing all the articles here on how the PS3 was hacked and it kind of makes sense that this would have something to do with that. It's early January and a new COD game wouldn't even run a beta until probably September, way too early for anyone to be playing it, especially since Activision uses 360's.

Just so you know... due to Geohot's custom firmware, users are able to write their own .pkg files.. which means someone could easily create a new "app" named "Modern Warfare 3: Alpha Testing" & launch it while signed into PSN.. and it will show they are "playing" it on their profile.. when really, It's just some homebrew game like Snake.. lol

e.g. When you launch Snes9x PS3 emulator, it shows that you are playing "Snes9x" on your PSN profile.
