The reason why drtysouf21 is posting good news about PS3 all the time, is that there are very good news comming form the PS3 camp all the time aspecialy since the beginning of this month (previews, reviews, hands-ons, awards, announments about new excl. games, blu ray winnings, price drops, sales, E3, PS Premiere), and there aren't any good or interesting news comming form MS for a very long time now, except for fatal news like the failure rate or finacial reports or peter moore.

The fact is that it's Microsoft's job to make a console that works, which they clearly haven't, they wouldn't be anything in this generation if
A) They didn't rush the 360 out into the market which was obviously not tested properly
B) had good 3rd party support because they were the first next gen system out the gate, they have hardly any inhouse software studios of there own Sony's are bigger than Microsoft and Nintendo's combined fact...

They exstended the warranty because they had to otherwise they would of had to do a recall then they would be dead, the media and the public would of crushed them for that and you know it...

So Sony's been around for a year less than Microsoft but been in the industry alot longer, and they still have many cards to play, we'll see who's laffing in 6 month's time... Feel free to disagree with me i'm entitled to my logical opinion...

Sony has had recalls. Sony recalled their spyware-infested music CDs and their exploding laptop batteries after customers complained and complained. (In fact, both recalls are still ongoing.)

And even when Sony issued the recalls, Sony had to take jabs at their customers: "You whiners. alright, alright, We're issuing a recall. Now stop complaining and be happy with what we give you." That's Sony's attitude, which is why so many people want to see Sony fails. It's their past hubris coming back to haunt them.

Companies issue a recall when it's a product safety issue, like how the spyware in Sony music CD put personal data at risk and how the laptop batteries can cause fire and injuries to people and properties.

Xbox 360's ring of death is not a product safety issue. You don't die from it. Your bank accounts don't get hacked because of it.

Why even brought up Peter Moore. He's an arse too, and he's gone. Good riddance. On the other hand, Sony still have a lot, a lot of arses, like Jack Tretton and Peter Dill and Phil Harrison or whatever their names are. Phil Harrision you crazy person is the main reason PS1 and PS2 did so well, he is the head of software development, he decides which games get invested in, history says that he makes the right choices looking at a long perspective of development, looking at future trends and innovation, it doesn't matter what you think of Jack or anyone else there incharge of hardware and having a vision for future production at the company...

History says that Phil harrison and Sony's inhouse and 1st party studios are priceless, just because you haven't seen every game by them yet doesn't meen that history won't repeat itself once again, these studios have pedigree, they have history, they have quality and motivation, they have good people working there...

funny thing, i have a 1080p tv and i had to lower the resolution of xbox360 to 720p in the system settings, cause it had simply no antialiasing at all... and i have a PS3 also, for example when i play GT HD in 1080, couldn't spot any jaggies (and i tried really hard...), unlike in Forza 2, where i thought, that i am playing almost an old xbox1 game.

He was talking about BR as a movie playing device and mentioned it put out the highest resolution (for movies.) He didn't say Xbox couldnt do it or that it could play HDDVD's with an add on. People in here are so quick to jump on the earlier article but still dismiss the whole big picture that was still televised to millions that this product had problems and that they had the biggest recall in electronics history, you want to disagree, watch the video from 1:11 to 1:14, and at 2:16 he says "xbox360 has the most popular games" not the best games, people need to get their facts straight. I would also like to point out when the average consumer sees or hears a recall on a product they do think twice about getting it or dont get it at all. One example of a recall are certain dog foods, if a consumer sees that it will hurt its dog health they most likely wont touch it at all, and will go with a brand that wont affect their animal. Now people can disagree because what ive stated is facts, and I have place the times where the videos say it, so if you disagree then i feel sorry for and it shows you can not debate rather well but instead choose to not listen, and let it go out the other ear. So to sum it all up it makes the 360 look bad either way even if he didnt say stay away, which doesnt discredit what he said about the problems the system is having.

He says that 360 has the most popular games, then lists Madden and Grand Theft Auto as 360 games with no mention that PS3 is getting it too. I'm glad that I don't have to go through this. If I did I would be pretty upset. I mean you pay $400 for a console that's supposed to be the "Ferrari of the living room" and boom red rings. Now you got a 30% failure rate when most products range form 1-3%. I must ask what is there left to defend. Even if Sony or Nintendo were doing the same thing you couldn't defend that either. It's not about brand loyalty is it? It's obvious that most of you haven't spent money out of your own pocket to make these purchases because the number of people defending M$ is ridicouli. I mean if you were my friend I's F*ck you over every day cause I'd know you defend me no matter what I did. I guarantee you this won't be the last you here of this crappy hardware problem it's just beginning.

Why are Xbox guys so crazy?

-Is it because those who 360's have broken, want it fixed because the still want to play 360 games?

-Is it because people like me who never had a problem since launch should still hate their 360 because others peoples console had have had problems?

-Are Xbox guys crazy because we actually believe M$ has made changes to fix the "suppose" 30% failure rate?

-Are Xbox guys crazy cause they think the 3 yr warranty for anyone who does experience the problem is a positive step in the right direction meaning you won't have to pay out of pocket if your console is defective?

-Are Xbox guys crazy because they think M$ has the best games, and they think its still worthy of purchase over the PS3 even with hardware issues?

Now I don't see this as defending M$'s hardware reliability, but I do defend the right to choose a console based solely on preference or tastes for games, doesn't mean you don't like the other console just means its not the ONE you prefer.

Last question,
-If your PS3 broke and Sony offered to fix it for free, would you hold it against them and choose something that didn't have the games you wanted to play the most?

lol... no Xbox owners aren't crazy. However M$ isn't fixing the problem, they're just covering it with duct tape. Maybe soon they will "truly" address the issues with the hardware.;)

If my ps3 broke more than once I'd scrap that SOB. Shysun summed it up in less words. 360's are still breaking down, and consumers are experiencing long wait times on the return. Now this 5hit started back in 2005 with a lawsuit, and was blown off. Now here we are 1.5 yrs later and M$ is having to eat crow. M$ new they had crappy ass hardware. That breaks the trust with me, knowing you selling sh!t and

Is it that Sony fans REALLY don't believe M$ is fixing it, or is it that they hope and pray M$ doesn't fix the problem? I would say the latter is definitely true for fanboys with an agenda.

rowdy1 You clearly hate the 360 so why would you even care whether M$ has "crappy" hardware or not, or if 360 fans still favor 360 after theirs breaks, what affect does it have on your ability to enjoy PS3 games?

I remember at one point when many many Sonyfanboys claimed M$ "intentionally" launched the 360's knowing they were defective because they were greedy and wanted to make a profit off charging 360 owners for repairs.....fast forward to the present that arguement is gone, and now Sonyfanboys think there's no way in hell the same "greedy" company wouldn't fix something that costs them tons of money?...which sounds even more ridiculous considering M$ is backing up ALL of their consoles from old ones to newly purchased 360's with a 3yr warranty.

I don't think that guy knew very much about the industry. When he called the PS3 a "game" I was actually pretty convinced- that's exactly what my parents call consoles.

All in all, anyone around here probably could have given a more informed description of the console wars. Sure, some of them might have said "Yes, the 360 is a piece of sh1t" or "The PS3 can suck my balls" but other than that, at least we understand the consoles...
