Naughty Dog programmer John Hable writes:"Back when we were moving frm SD to HD, one of the more fashionable arguments was that if you have normal vision then you can’t tell the difference between 720p and 1080p. Every once in a while this argument comes up, so I thought I’d address it because it sheds light on a common misconception about aliasing and how our eyes work."

Is it running the same Windows OS? Because that is the biggest issue with the current Ally.

This article is most likey defending games in 720P. On my tv, I can see the difference in pixels and I much rather have 1080P then 720P. To each their own I guess.
1080p looks better than 720p on screen sizes 42 and up. its your cornia that does the job, the human eye cannot tell the difference based on the circumstances ive stated.
After using 768p TV's for 5 years and then 1080p for the last 3.5 years I would never go back to anything less. My eye's are ~6ft(perfect for 1080p on my screen size) from my 46" 1080p at all times and your seating distance to screen size is the main reason to upgrade to a 1080p TV. Since I sit so close I can even tell the difference between 1080i and 1080p, 1080i is blurry or out of focus compared to 1080p.

I see jaggies even with 32xQAA@1080p, 4/8xAA@1080p is what I would normally use though.
Pssh I wouldn't trade my 1080P 50" Pioneer Kuro plasma for my previous 720P 32" Samsung LCD EVER. I can TOTALLY notice the difference, it's very obvious.
