Merkaat, I love games and especially RPG's, so this ME2 are great news to me.... but when some 360 fanboys start spewing nonsense it sometimes makes me wanna see games like ME2 fail :( (I have a PS3).

About the PC, personally I'm not a PC gamer but it's a happy coincidence thatr I just bought a new one with Win7 and of course a decent gaphix card, so I may play this on the PC after so many years ;)

Expensive gaming PC not required for this game. It runs better at 720p than the previous game (on my 3 year old 7900 GS) while still looking better.

If you have anything like the following set up it'll run great without the AA:
3GHz Intel Dual Core
2GB DDR2 RAM
7900 GS
Even with a low spec it looks near enough identical to the 360 version.

This does not in any way make GT biased. Im so fed up with people calling gaming websites bias by scoring one game higher than another. Gamespot scored UC2 a 9.5 while scoring ME2 a 9. Does that make them biased? No.

Cut the BS. This game is good. Learn to live with it. Play it and you'll see. If you go the rest of your life complaining about review scores, you'll never have enough time to play all the great games out there. No matter what system they're on

Xbox costs £129 - but I could buy a PC with the spec of a 360 for about £50 and have it be much more useful to boot.

So you've got it the wrong way round - by your logic everyone with a 360 should sell it and get a cheaper PC - same games anyway lol.

The game might not be on the PS3, but I sure am enjoying playing it... on my PC!! Goes the show that even the great 360 exclusives can be played some where else other than on the xbox. Anyways, so far the game is great and I love the presentation in it.

My one complaint is the new reloading system. I preferred the cool down a LOT more. Still, that's only one downside, but the game as a whole has been vastly improved. The graphics are better than ME, but nowhere near the improvements many of us though they'd be.

Most of the screenshots were most definitely from the Maxed out PC version. The 360 version barely looks better. I'm just around 2 hours in, so I'll continue to hold judgment till I'm done.

No it does not confirm that GT are bias. It confirms the Mass Effect 2 is an amazing game..It's been getting great reviews from other sites as well..scores i've seen so far range from 9-10..I think 3 or 4 sites gave it 10's..I know there's other great games coming out, but Mass Effect 2 has set the bar so far this yr..

I'm not doubting ME2's scores, I know it deserves them. I'm talking about GT saying something along the lines of "we won't rate a game a 9.3 or higher unless it does something new" for Uncharted 2.

Then a months later MW2 gets a 9.5. Does it deserve that score? Probably, but what exactly did it do that's "new" to get a 9.4 or higher?

Global distribution costs more money, and since this is not one of those high-selling games, EA (or Microsoft) will only distribute it to places where they are certain it will be well-received commercially. It will sell 2 or 3 million copies, though.

What are all these amazing games you play on your PS3, Major Jack Hoff? I own both consoles and I honestly find more games I want to play on my 360 than my PS3. 2009 was the PS3's best year and the only games I really liked were Uncharted 2, Killzone 2 and Demon's Souls. I don't know, a lot of PS3 exclusives like Resistance 2 just feel second rate to me and I almost never buy any multiplatform games for my PS3. My 360 gets most of my gaming time and the PS3 is my movie player and there for the occasional good exclusive.

but it does specify in the About Viacom section that they distribute through all these different channels, one of them being Gametrailers. You can choose to turn a blind eye to it, but hey ya never know these days. Personally, I got ME2 at the midnight launch, had a terribly sleepy day at work all while thinking about playing ME2...I love the series and pretty much everything Bioware does.

Gametrailers is owned by MTV, which means MTV has a partnership with Microsoft, which is logical why Microsoft is praised most of the time, I'm not sure about the score for ME2, because I was never interested in it, but sounds like a great game thought!!!!

I stopped going to GT, but before I did stop going there I looked up their reviews. They have zero reviews for the PS3 games that went over 9.5 whereas many Xbox 360 exclusives have gone over 9.5. It annoys me how people blurt out "GT isn't biased! GT isn't biased!" when they've shown so many times that they are. Mass Effect 2 looks great don't get me wrong, I just hate GT.

I hate to say this but i really wouldnt mind if this game comes to ps3... this game needs to be played by all gamers. I always prefer 360 over ps3 but really, this game is incredible. Everything is tied in soooo well and along with combat, music, graphics, and story. By far my favorite game this generation.

this reviews actually tempted me to buy this game, despite not being able to get into the first. it seems they've basically improved on everything tho and it's a nicely polished game.

for now i'll stick to MAG though cus i know i'll enjoy that, but will certainly be looking to check this out, perhaps when it's on offer sometime soon (or hopefully when my housemate gets it through on lovefilm :p)

Everyone comparing ME2 graphically to U2 is retarded. Ones a RPG the other an action advemture. Of course U2 will be grapically superior. Although i think ME2 facial models are probably the best on the 360. The Animations in U2 dominate ME2's animation, because one is an open-world (galaxy) non-linear game and the other is a straight linear game.

I agree with GT's 9.7 the game is awesome a definate must buy. (Already on disc 2)

The faces in mass effect doesnt look fake compared to uncharted 2. ME2 cut scenes are in game there not prerendered like uncharted 2. In mass effect 2 those are the actual models in actual space its not cutting to a movie like uncharted 2.Bioware did the same thing with dragon age and KOTOR.

Most of the detail always goes into the main characters face anyway you cant put that type of detail into a game as big as mass effect. Uncharted 2 doesnt have as many characters as mass effect 2 you go from A to B in uncharted 2. With all the side missions in mass effect 2 you cant have crazy detailed characters on that many guys in every little corner in a nonlinear game.

Uncharted 2 renders its cutscenes in-game for the short scenes and with in-game assets for the long ones...meaning that even for the longer, recorded cut scenes it still uses the same environments, charachter models, textures etc as what you play. Runs off the hardware both ways. They did this so the game could still LOAD the next parts in the background even during the longer more complicated scenes so that the player never has to wait for loads. Ever. Pretty genius if you ask me, and not even a mandatory or optional install is required.

Im about 8 hours in now and its already better than every PS3 game I own. Thats just a simple fact. There is nothing on the PS3 that is on this level.

Uncharted 2 is very pretty, but in the end its another Gears knockoff. Demon's Souls is a good RPG, but the visual style is weak and the story is lame. MGS4 is good, but its the worst MGS game. Mass Effect is the total package. Original visuals and gameplay, with a great story on top of it, sick replay value for an RPG. It's unmatched.

I like how they show the video of the PC version (AA, AF, Graphics detail, High resolution) and then give it a high score BUT for the XBOX360 and never mentioning the advantages of the PC version. NICE!

Notice no mention of control or squad AI. What RPG elements are there besides conversation with NPC's and weapon upgrades?

Sorry reviewer but the G-MAN from Half Life 2 has better facial expressions and detail than what I just saw seeing how they are both using antiquated Directx 9.

Can't wait for those PC/xbox360 screenshot comparisons. You know like they always do with the PS3 when it gets a crappy 360 port.
