‘Palworld’ Has Lost Two-Thirds Of Its Players In Two Weeks

Forbes writes: "I do wonder about what things look like for Palworld in the long term, however. Was it just a “craze” that will keep losing players precipitously? Or is it something that will indeed have legs and while maybe not be a direct Pokemon rival, something that can at least take some big bites out of the seemingly impenetrable franchise."

Which isn't abnormal. The game has an end and hasn't added any new content yet. Not to mention all the bugs and fixes it needs which make me not want to play. The game will only get better ofc in the near future.

When it adds content it'll come back with a good foundation ppl aren't as willing to permanently drop it.

Palworld confirmed as a passing fad. Flavor of the month.

Zeref117d ago

Nah. I think it reached enough people to have a decent sized fanbase now.

blackblades117d ago

Bet you thought the same thing about Fortnite and Minecraft. Look where they are now.

NotoriousWhiz117d ago (Edited 117d ago )

Fortnite and minecraft are GAAS. Palworld is not. A game with a defined start and end, as it should be.

blackblades117d ago

Lol GAAS I didn't mention them because of that. He said fad and I mention them because of the popularity.

always give a game at least a month before deciding, the hype is false :))

This doesn't need a whole article written about it. People play a game for a long time and then move on, happens to every single game. How many games y'all own that y'all haven't touched in over a year?

gleepot117d ago

Games like this are intended to have longevity.

porkChop117d ago

True, but almost all games have a big drop-off in players after release. People move from game to game and come back once new content and updates release.

NotoriousWhiz117d ago

Why? It has a story mode with a defined start and end. How long do you expect it to be?

Kaze88117d ago

It's not finished yet doofus. I played Valheim 70h in couple weeks and been visiting it couple times after that. There has been lot of changes, but I'm waiting for the completion so I would have proper amount of new biomes to explore. I would imagine a lot of ppl are doing the same with this game.

SDuck117d ago

true but the game isn't finished yet. It's in early access

Palworld's Pals Shouldn't Be the Only Friendly Faces

Palworld offers plenty of companions in its titular critters, but there are other characters in Palpagos who could be similarly supportive.
