By what individual website lol no chance at the official title.

Sonic1881297d ago (Edited 297d ago )

He's delusional. It's just too many great games this year. BG3, ZTOTK, FF16, and RE4 says high 😂

shinoff2183297d ago

Still interested in starfield more then any game coming and released so far this year. It would be baldurs Gate 3 but I'm to big of a sci fi junkie

YodaCracker297d ago

Fallout 4, the worst received of Bethesda’s mainline RPGs, still won 58 GOTY awards, going up against Witcher III, Bloodborne, and MGSV.

https://gotypicks.blogspot....

Oblivion, Fallout 3, and Skyrim were all consensus GOTYs. From what we’ve seen of Starfield so far, there is no doubt it will win plenty of GOTY awards. The only question is can Bethesda really deliver a game as incredibly ambitious as the Direct showed us. If so, I can see it surpassing Tears of the Kingdom.

DarXyde297d ago

Sounds like testing the waters for a world without Xbox hardware.

Question is, how will this version run? Series S version? Series X version?

....PC version? It would be very unusual if a TV runs the game 4K/60fps.

EvertonFC297d ago (Edited 297d ago )

Works suprisingly well, its how I access my Xbox GP account, I haven`t found enough content for me to buy an Series S/X console so a couple of GP months around Xmas using the samsung gaming hub is normally good enough for me.

Abear21297d ago

Dang I’m looking into this asap, don’t want to buy a series x until a new sku drops and Starfield is patched up nicely. But yeah, I’ll dip into this for sure.

Sonic1881297d ago (Edited 297d ago )

Didn't Todd Howard say Starfield will only run in 30fps on limited hardware unless you're running it on a midrange/ high-end PC to get the 60fps option. I believe it will run worse than the Series S version especially because of smart TV hardware compared to a game console

Asplundh297d ago

I don't know a lot about streaming, but I thought performance wasn't as reliant on the hardware it's streaming on to.

Sonic1881297d ago (Edited 297d ago )

It's true that it's based off your internet speed and internet bandwidth. Tell me how many gamers have great internet speed and Bandwidth in the world 🌎 🤔 not to mention A wired Ethernet connection works best for game streaming and cloud gaming. I'm sure you'll experience lag while you play cloud gaming depending on your internet speed and ram depending on your hardware limitations. But I'm not for sure

343_Guilty_Spark297d ago (Edited 297d ago )

MSFT is actually scaling back a little on their push for cloud … they admitted they committed too many consoles to XCloud

Eonjay297d ago

Well this would explain why they don't want to do a PRO console but before people say anything all you have yo do it look at today's recent news to see that this is where Sony is headed too. Expect a PS+ Premium app to hit TVs and this is gonna be the centerpiece for project Q as well.

I feel like both companies have been very transparent with their future plans. I will not accept the complaining from people who willfully ignore what's being said.

Extermin8or3_296d ago

Yeah when someone internally pointed out that the laws of physics set an insurmountable issue in the form of latency. Look at typical response times that are considered good for a controller right you are talking 15 ms or less I know ps4 and xbone era it was about 8ms. Now what's average latency of your Internet? 20, 30? 100ms? orders of magnitude higher that's not including other processing obstacles for imput coming from the Web that can delay things further.

Extermin8or3_296d ago

I mean it might run oassivky well but it's not replacing physical hardware fir 80+% of players ever. Unless you literally live next to their servers- the laws of physics mean that latency will always be an issue.

Ah, that sounds like a good idea to offer the GP app on SmartTVs. If you have steady, fast internet, it'll be a good option for those who want to play on a big screen and not able/willing to invest in the console or PC.

Sonic1881297d ago (Edited 297d ago )

Especially for just $10 dollars a month for the app and you can cancel it at anytime. You'll save so much money. You don't have to buy Starfield for $70 dollars to play it. Depending on your internet speed

i didnt even know there was a leak ha.

Relientk7714h ago

This is news to me. I had no idea the games from the State of Play got leaked.

Jin_Sakai6h ago

I seen the list posted and instantly got excited for Astro Bot. Everything else was meh.

CrimsonWing697h ago

I’m pretty sure leaks or not, by the end of the show people will still be disappointed. The only highlight for me was MH: Wilds… everything else was mid to forgettable. Hope them HaaS games you got lined up really work out for you, Sony. Everyone asking for Bloodborne Remake, Wolverine, and, uh, well other games like that could’ve made this epic. Instead we get Concord, some derivative Souls-like games, that were fine looking, and a Silent Hill 2 Remake with horrible character designs and janky combat animations… great.

rayford156h ago

I wasn’t disappointed it was a solid B

TOTSUKO4h ago

For a State of play it was actually alright. People are overshadowing it because they want to cancel Sony to high hell for Gaas which is not fair for the other devs who revealed great looking games that were just shown. I get it you don’t like gaas don’t buy it. If it sells well good for the people who had interest no big deal? If you are a PlayStation fan what’s wrong with PlayStation trying to cater every gamer? I don’t understand that smh

ravens525h ago

Where Winds Meet and Ballad of Antara both looked good. Not to mention Astro Bot. It was a decent show. For me personally it was a 7. I'm sure to some people it was actually really good cause they'd play all those games. 🤷🏽 Personal taste

MrNinosan4h ago

I wasn't dissapointed.
And no, everyone doesn't want a Bloodborne Remake. There is probably very few who's actually asking for it, but the ones who do are loud on internet.

CrimsonWing694h ago(Edited 4h ago)

Oh, my mistake. It’s definitely not one of the most requested games when it comes to remakes with news stories talking about it 🙄

As long as it is durable; it's a deal.
