After reading several reviews it would seem that is a solid 9. If it had had the co-op ready, the score might have been even better.

Seems like a strong 8 or 9. The gameplay is great and a strong return to classic Halo, the downsides I've heard are the story is only decent, the "open world" is only decent, and the missing traditional features (co-op) are a let down.

But those are still good scores for an ongoing game. I see it overall as a high 8 based on reviews. (8.7 - 8.9)

Seems like Halo is getting very solid reviews. Now, the true test comes on the 8th, when gamers get to play.
