Blizzcon 2019 Predictions: Not Even Diablo 4 Can Save It

The negative press and energy surrounding Blizzard is poised to overshadow any announcement Blizzard makes. Is there still room to be blown away by a game and get caught up in the hype? One thing's for sure, it would require a "hell" of a trailer to win back the good will that has been lost, and even that might not be enough. At this point the frustration is about so much more than just video games.

It's all about the games. Sure there's lots of negativity, but if they can deliver overwatch 2 and diablo IV whit oustanding quality games will applaud and support the games. If this happens, what will remain of negativity will be a vocal minority that will fade whit time.

Diablo 2 HD Remaster
Diablo 4 to be dark gritty Legionaries matter and don't drop over some stupid timer.

What I’m waiting to see is if there’s some sort of screening of Q&A questions so they don’t get another “is this an out of date April fools joke” question that and the people that are inevitably going to ask about the Hong Kong controversy. If they start censoring there Q&A blocks that’s just going to add more fuel to the fire.

They made a mountain out of a molehill now Blizzcon is overshadowed by something far bigger than gaming. Large reputable activist groups have been planning protests for a few weeks now, multiple people have been running go fund mes to hand out free tshirts to attendees. I have no sympathy for Blizzard here but I feel sorry for the attendees a bit, Blizzcon is an experience and many spending thousands to be there. Still, I know I'll be stocking up on beer and popcorn and just watch as this shitshow unravels.

Still, how the mighty have fallen. Blizzard 2019 and they are being run by the guy most famous for saying "you think you do but you don't" and the sheer arrogance of that statement just sums them up so perfectly nowadays.

Diablo IV can save BlizzCon if it’s on Console (and PC), is as awesome as Diablo III: RoS and has no MTs.

If it looks really good and is what the fans of Diablo expects then I suspect it will save it. Even a competent remaster/remake of Diablo 2 would get a lot of good will from the player base.

It took almost 4 years from announcement to release for Diablo 3, so even them finally announcing Diablo 4 will not excite me, unless it came with a firm release window in 2020.

Blizzard won’t announce anything for like 2 years because of the overshadow. Boycott blizzard. There are plenty of other great game companies out there.

Especially if the D4 they are making is another trash like D3 is because after D3 how can you trust Blizzard anymore, they need to make a hell of a job & a full turn to the opposite direction design-wise to please the fans & me personally I can't believe that the current Blizzard is capable of doing something like that at this point, fans lost their faith on them for many-many years now so most people don't expect anything from them, the Blizzard of today have nothing to do with the brilliant Blizzard of 20 years ago.
