Star Citizen Alpha 3.2 Released to Backers; Single-Player Campaign Squadron 42 Won't Come in 2018

Star Citizen backers just got a nice chunk of new content, including mining gameplay. Yet, the game's single-player campaign isn't bound for this year.

Lost all respect for the Dev. This game has become a big moneygrab for them. The game itself might actually be good when it comes out, I wouldnt know since i havent played it. But the fact that if you want cool shit you have to pay up is just too greedy. I was excited for the game when I first heard about the game, but ill pass on this cashcow that is this game.

Where have the days gone that when you bought the gmae you unlocked the cool stuff by finding secrets and defeating bosses. These days everything involves either endless hours of grinding or paying money for the 'fancy' stuff. Few games still do that this day. I'm glad some devs and publishers still make quality single player games without this bullshit. Often if there is some kind of multiplayer aspect to a game the grindfest/paying happens.

I get that people find it ridiculous the amount of money this game has made, progress etc. But I've never understood why people get so bent out of shape and upset over a product that they will never buy anyway. To me it's like any other product. I'm not at all interested in those graphic anime visual novels on steam but I don't get upset over the droves of people who do buy them. I would understand all the hate if it was a sequel to a beloved franchise that people have investment in but this is a new IP with no ties or nostalgia value.

At this point the "Star citizen has earn't 'X' amount" is just a meme article made for slow news weeks. When they release the next update it will be the same articles doing the same rounds with the same exact comments. It's truly bizarre.
