Well I won't rule Bungie out yet on this but it really matters what they produce going forward. It is sure a fact that many people have dropped the game due to some bad decisions on Bungie / Activision. I hope they really fix things but at this point I am skeptical.

No not really tbh. Its just nowhere near the success Acti/Bungie hoped for. They can try one last time to draw players backnin with meaningful DLC so they will have another chance to redeem themselves with D3 but trust me if they dont fix everything and fast in D2 it will be the last we see of Destiny, just like Mass Effect.

the game is technically near-perfect, the gunplay is amazing, the lore and backstory are great, the graphics are beautiful, the world is immersive. but all that was destroyed by a the bad end-game content, micro-transactions, slow content rollout, balancing PvP to cater to MLG players and YouTubers, and the bad in-game story.

They aren't catering to MLG/YouTubers. If they were those players wouldn't have abandoned the game so quickly.

Bungie literally catered to the vocal minority of cry babies from the 1st game that complained non-stop about the end game gear grind, being locked out of the highest light level without raid gear, etc... They complained about people who can sit and play video games all day long having better gear because loot was randomized and so on.

If Bungie was catering to the crowd you mentioned - the game would be a gear grind and massive amounts of people would still be playing.

Sad, if rumors are true they originally planned a new engine, more missions, way faster updates. But somewhere during development they went back to the old engine, and had to keep the micro transactions and slow updates.

Destiny was doomed from the start. Activision killed the studio that made one of the most well known game series in history.

I can tell you what happened with just a few words; Activision's greed and short development window. Bungie could barely put out s Halo every 3 years, so there's no way they could do a game with an annual release.

I totally agree with u I loved the grind because when I played the first Destiny on raids the guys normally with a high light level had done the raid b4 which was good now in destiny 2 it went all tits up so easy to max out, didn’t like the raids they felt unfinished

It's precisely what they wanted. Whenever they release DLC they start locking out players who have the launch version and forcing any new players to buy with DLC. This is a prime example of why I'm against digital-only. You're at the mercy of the publishers to set whatever price they want, and re-release "GOTY" versions at full price after removing the option to buy cheaper original versions.

I'm stubborn and wouldn't take anything less than $35, considering how many broken promises there were, but after hearing you didn't get a single offer for $25, there's no hope.

Thank you bungie for making so many stupid and greedy decisions post launch that you've completely turned the gaming community away and made me unable to sell your game. Well done.

Yeah I set it at @25 and got no offers, but usually people on Craigslist are cheap and always ask if I will sell something for dirt cheap. Not with Destiny 2. I didn't even get any lowball offers. Also the game's been about $17-18 new for PS4 on Amazon for a while now, so I'd have to sell it for $15 or les sto even have chance of selling it. This game just isn't worth much. Gamestop would probably give like $4.50.

Do like shadow of War remove the MT/LB. Go for positives PR/image surrounding the game. Release a massive expansion(possibly free of charge)

In Destiny's case that doesn't really work. D2 has an 85 on metacritic, it was good at launch, it's the post-game support that's hurting it.

No, just No! Started playing again after a 4 month break. its fun and guns work as they are supposed to even though the slots are not right yet. But this game is fun again and the new speed update has made pvp relevant and fun again. So no, not dying, and give it another go like I did and you may stick around for the pvp at minimum

One of my main gripes about this series is the lack of fun in the game and how Bungie holds you back. For instance, making EXOTIC weapons and armors and not being able to equip more than one of them at a time. They say it makes you overpowered. But to me that is just bad game design. I wish I had more time to go into how all of their weapons are very vanilla and NONE really stand out by design, keeping everything in check.

Bungie has really let me down. I enjoyed Destiny, and felt bad that I sold it too early. This time I got the digital copy and very quickly after completion lost interest in it. No appealing content after launch unless you pay.

Will not buy their next game.
