Ya. I know it was hit or miss for some people, but I liked the SF EX series. Sony needs to scoop them up. THey're the only console manufacturer that doesn't have their own exclusive (continued) fighting franchise.

They're already the console/brand most associated with the mainstream fighting games (SF, Tekken), that surely enough. An exclusive (1st party) probably isnt worth the investment.

TBH Sony doesn't really need their own fighter. Most fighting game enthusiasts especially in Japan play more on PS than any other console. Third parties are bringing in the fighting game players for them.

the game might not be great but the bigger takeaway is that SF and Akira are on good terms and that means we can see guys like Skullomania and D Dark in a 2d SF Game
