Konami Hates Gamers

Konami is at it yet again with their convoluted nonsense. It seems as though that they want to drive all gamers away from their business in favor of Pachinko Machines.

Konami is going where the japanese gaming market is making the most money. Mobile and pachinko.

rocketpanda2736d ago

Absolutely. Most J-mobiles games use the gacha-gacha system to earn random characters or loot in which you need premium currency at having a chance at getting a rare item or character with a 0.1% chance of getting an S-Rare. Fans will gladly pay to try to get the characters or items.

Some Japanese friends of mine will spend the equivalent of $100 or more on premium currency monthly of f2p game at having a chance of getting super rare items or characters. Especially the super MOE characters.

This is where the money is in Japan, not console gaming anymore. Most ads on TV and billboards in Japan are also mobile games, the exception recently was FF15, but those have all gone now.

i really do not understand why people are so insisting on talking s*** about Konami.
They have possibility to get more money somewhere else and they are trying to take the chance. Game development is more and more costly so they are trying to save.
What we hear is that they treat their employees like crap but we have no certainty. There are organisations that defend employees, and especially in Japan and the first loser will be the company itself if this is true.

@bouzebbal
Are you selective to information to defend the skidmark of a company that is Konami? Nothing wrong with being a business that wants to thrive and make money like most developers out there. Konami on the other hand decides to bar one of the most iconic developers from receiving an award then lies to say he is on holiday. Same said developer worked segregated from other developers for the last few months before releasing MGS5. What a great company to work for right!

Konami lost most of its iconic talents that made castlevania, suikoden, silent hill and metal gear first class IPs. Blah blah, costs money to make games, if Konami hadn't farmed their IPs to cheap 3rd party developers to make a quick buck then they wouldn't be in the situation they're in now. Quick money for no effort. Basically they have metal gear and pro evo left . As bad as EA and Ubisoft can be at times they have never reached such lows as Konami. They can make all the money they want from pachinko crap and just leave gaming to developers that know what the hell they're doing. Keep defending a company with thst tiny violin. They even lost their own source code for silent hill then tried to sell a hd remake of silent that played and looked worse than the original versions. Konami is garbage and deserves all negative press they get.

But people who play on mobile aren't real gamers anyway...So Konami really hates gamers when you think about it. ;)

Another garbage blog site trying to be relevant. Uses thumbnails of trannys to try and get people to watch their video. Sad.

xer02736d ago

Yep... dirty tactics! :(

BrianOBlivion2736d ago

How the hell would pics of trannys ENTICE someone to watch the video?
