Was PlayStation Experience 2016 Better Than E3?

Power Up Gaming: "What a week! The Game Awards happened, Nolan North re-asserted his position as king of the voice-over world, Final Fantasy XV was released, we saw the first trailer for the Crash Bandicoot N. Sane Trilogy, Sony shook the world with the announcement of The Last of Us: Part II at the PlayStation Experience (PSX) 2016 conference, and more. All these things are discussed in this week's episode of The Gentleman's Pantry."

No ... There was no competition from Microsoft or Nintendo .... So for me e3 is better as I dont have an elegance to any console maker .... That way i buy what interest's me at the time

demonddel2743d ago

I think but I'm not sure but I think you meant Alliance not elegance but I feel ya though not too many people like you around here

E3 was legendary this year, and PSX was so good as well.
Can't really compare them other than bombs were droped in both of them.
I really like the fact they skip Gamescom to hold something like PSX for the PS nation to come together. PSX also has a much better covering than Gamescom.

There was No competition at E3 either Im sorry But MS E3 just sucked all they announced to get excited about is was a new consoles, When is MS going to learn the Video Games Business is not about all Tflops and power It is about games something MS is lacking. The Pro is going to blow the doors off of the Scorpio just for the fact They will have games. I look at upcoming games for MS. nothing jumps off the page Like Sony has. You can have all the power but if you don't know how to use that power what good is it.

Good thing is your opinion isn't considered facts

If you cant see what is happening here you are in Serious Denial my friend.

LordMaim2743d ago

No, it wasn't better than E3.

That doesn't mean that it wasn't great though! :)

I think it was full of fan service but didn't have the amount of megaton announcements e3 had. GoW, Days Gone, RE7, Death Stranding, Crash, and Spider-Man are just impossible to top. Plus they had an orchestra playing during the entire conference...

UltraNova2743d ago

tLoU 2 announcment was up there if not a bigger megaton than all reveals at E3 2016. But as a whole E3 was indeed bigger and more exciting since competition was looming in the air, whereas PSX is a standalone fan service event for PS fans.

Sony has to save more of their big guns for E3 to compete with MS and Nintendo so ots only logical PSX will be held back a bit.

BlakHavoc2743d ago

Ya for sure, TLOU2 imo is the biggest announcement Sony could possibly make coming from their 1st party studios. Its the megaton of all megatons, up there with RDR2.

PhoenixUp2743d ago

PSX is an entirely different beast than E3

demonddel2743d ago

Nope it wznt not even close nothing was a surprise but I tell you if that GT Sport was real Gameplay I think it's time for me to come back to GT unless Forza Scorpio is a different beast

Zizi2743d ago (Edited 2743d ago )

No, but Sony obviously try to compete wIth E3.
