Metal Gear Survive Gets First Gameplay Trailer At TGS 2016

Konami has released the first gameplay footage for the upcoming Metal Gear game featuring 4 player co-op.

It's like the Raiden game that came after MGS4. Hence the name is just SURVIVE.

I don't know if this was mentioned in the video or was meant to happen. But this area in survive is the exact replica of an area in MGS5 (with minor tweaks) where you kidnap the commander from the room where the craft bench is.

Looks like MGSV. From a gameplay perspective, that's a good thing. The issue will be price. This should've been an expansion for MGSV.

*Watch all the negative comments (minus price) be about anything other than gameplay.

Doesn't look great, but not that bad either. It is a standalone dlc (by any stretch of imagination) so if it's priced accordingly (15-20$ or wait for sale), i can see myself and some friends having a few go at it.

Pretty much. You can tell the game is using all the assets of MGSV and just adding a few weapons / modifying some character designs that are already in the game (the "creatures" in the beginning are basically like the skull squad's minions, minus the head). It's basically a new MP game mode that they'll be selling most likely for $40 or so.

It's not full price though. It is sort of standalone DLC.

I think it's a good game, but it should have been a co-op DLC for MGS5. I am quite on the fence on these types of games, so I probably will pass on it.

It looks great of course it's on fox engine which is a great engine but it just doesn't feel right to make it a MGS game. It will flop sadly all because of the big mess Konami have started. The trust is gone.

My friend hates this and hes a big MG fan. I actually like it. Looks fun. He says its not traditional MG. A change is good once in a while

If it wasn't Metal Gear and it wasn't Konami I might be tempted to try it, but they shouldn't be rewarded for their fuck-ups. The FOX Engine is great and MGS5 had great gameplay even without a story so it's a shame this will be all it's used for. I feel bad for the developers who stuck around to keep their jobs because they're the ones who will truly suffer for Konami's behavior.
