Kojima visits performance capture studio on first day of his 10-day technology trip

Hideo Kojima, Ken Imaziumi and Ayako Terashima are currently on a 10-day trip with Mark Cerny to ‘search for the newest technology’, as the famous game designer describes it. On his first day he went to VASG (Visual Arts Service Group) in San Diego to check out the performance capture that was used for big and highly cinematic games like The Last of Us and The Order 1886.

That Engine looks so damn insanely realistic. I am also glad that Kojima seems very happy after he got out of that $hit hole that is Konami.

As a matter of fact, Konami faded after he left. We barely hear anything from them.

That's Zbrush to the left of him.

the tool is commonly used by artists for sculpting or importing assets for touching up. The other program directly behind him is Maya.

Konami doesn't care about AAA video games anymore. They're huge in Japan and do way more than video games. They're not faded at all.

Maybe he's talking about in reference to video games. Just a shot in the dark.

Kojima please make a better game than that boring POS MGS PP.

showtimefolks3063d ago

now as a long time mgs fan i agree. mgs 5 is very over rated. it doesn't even feel like mgs

why could we just get peace walker 2 instead a boring semi open world generic 3rd person shooter

mgs 1
mgs 3
peace walker
mgs 4

were all master pieces IMO

retrogamer093063d ago

My problem with the guys games are that the stories never make any bloody sense. Usually the gameplay makes up for that. MGS PP had me so bored. I ended up trading it in.

like i said i am a huge mgs fan and the story is there to have fun with. m,gs 4 pretty much finished the story in best way possible

what's truly sad is mgs 5 had a weak cast of bosses. why couldn't we get the back story on zero as the main boss instead of boring scarface

mgs 5 need more upfront story instead of hiding behind cassette tapes.

it could have been a entry that could have answered long time questions/surprises

but instead kojima(i really like him as a developer)went after new fans instead of trying to appease his long time fans

BossBattle3063d ago

What's so crazy is that if Kojima takes 3-4 years to make a game it will be on PS5. He really likes to take his time and has a smaller team than what he's used to. Any sooner wouldn't be of quality.

Next up, Kojima goes grocery shopping!
