IGN:
"A new Dashboard, backwards compatibility, and more are all here, meaning the Xbox One is now Phil Spencer's machine, full-stop."
Microsoft & Xbox have shut down Arkane Austin and Tango Gameworks to lay off more workers, insinuating that they're not in the game anymore.
They're headless for a long time because closing tango isn't exactly a good move
Everyone's acting now that game companies care about games and Xbox is committing the Ultimate betrayal, they are all like this and you have just been quiet about it for far too long
I wonder if Microsoft do pull out of the console market that it might open the door for valve to relaunch the Steambox. Competition is good for the industry but Microsoft don't even seem to be trying anymore.
“Your game has won some pretty significant awards and is a show piece for where we want to go in the future.”
1 hour later.
“We’re gonna have to let you go. You can’t cover our 100 billion dollar acquisition. Oh and take your awards too 👍🏾”
Fallout 76 players have dropped the big one on Phil Spencer in response to Xbox's closures of Arkane Austin and Tango Gameworks this week.
He said he treated the Xbox executive like the RPG's final boss
Somewhat fitting, Considering buying Bethesda was a complete selfish purchasing decision by himself just because he is a big Fallout fan he wanted to own the toy. Well quite frankly Microsoft should look at that and say you put your personal tastes in front of the business and it has backfired.
Todd Howard out hustled Phil. Howard is definitely in the top 3 all time hustlers in video game history.
Phil's game character properly looks like a villain too.

And a fine console it is at that. Great Work, Phil. Whether or not he believed in the original vision is irrelevant now. What matters is he knew how to fix it and he knew to start listening to the fans, and the outcome has been amazing thus far. Less reliance on the classic Fable, Forza, Gears, Halo lineup is also showing in 2016 with tons of new full IPs and fan faves. I hope to God he's around for the next gen, he'll definitely listen to fans and what they want when making the console, so it should turn out to be even better than this gen which has been a bit of an identity crisis for the XB1 since 2013, but it's just about recovered and kicking into full swing now from 2015 onwards in terms of what it's about and what content it's providing
Well done team Xbox and Phil Spencer. We now have full trust in you. Love the games first and everything else second mentality Phil has brought. At this point the Xbox One is unstoppable. Can't wait to dig into the awesome titles in 2016.
All aboard awesome train leaving the station ...choo choo
I'm more interested in Don Mattrick and Adam Orth's xbox one.
It's got a shotgun that shoots you if you move out of the kinect vision and an explosive that detonates if the power goes out or you stop close Zynga.
People getting disagrees just for saying positive things about X1...riduculous. There's no hate here until the Sony children bring it.
