CraveOnline: "Sony has got itself in hot water with one of its users, after enforcing a strict anti-refund policy even though the company itself had acknowledged that he had been hacked and payments had been made using his credit card without his permission."
A renowned industry insider has suggested the rumored PlayStation May 2024 showcase featuring Silent Hill 2 could happen this week.
Bogus!
Why would Sony do that and how would this benefit them?
1) It would piss off their media partners (IGN, Gamespot, Edge, etc.) since they would have to allocate resources fast to cover the event.
2) Risk of not having great coverage or proper coverage from the various source
3) It could give the impression that they are not confident in their own stuff.
4) They would miss the chance to hype the event losing viewers and losing free marketing time.
Again I'm calling it bogus unless it's a small showcase before the big one or because they want to announce that Hellbalde 2 is also coming on PS5.
Going in with no expectations but likely will see something that resonates with me.
Nah they will announce it probably, but it won't happen right away soon though yes.
While we haven't even begun to tap into the full potential of the PS5, fans are already beginning to talk about what Sony's next console, the PlayStation 6, will look like and what features it will have.
“While we haven't even begun to tap into the full potential of the PS5“
We always here this statement yet we have plenty of games that struggle to run at solid frame rates or decent resolutions.
Diablo IV is now available to play via PlayStation Cloud Gaming! Still not available to Play on Xbox Cloud Gaming.
We ran our script again and found 15 other PS5 games (a lot of popular ones!) that got PS5 Cloud Gaming support within the last month as well.
So you have to buy the game and can only stream to the PS5 devices using PS plus premium? What is the point of that. Much more useful when you can stream to other devices.
Blizzard is shoving this game everywhere. Diablo 4 is going to take an even bigger hit soon. Path of exile 2 is coming out and it looks insane.
I completed it on gamepass. Thanks God I dint pay it full price. It plays like a lazy mobile game. I am not a pro diablo gamer (Diablo 1 was the only one I completed) but D4 has no atmosphere, no creepy feeling and soundtrack like the first one and its so easy, I managed to not buy any weapon and had 4 Million Credits on level 55. I always used the same 4 attacks from the beginning and died maybe 10-15 times. It's so easy, wtf. I remember D1 to be pretty hard.
WTF happened? Is Diablo 3 also that bad?
Considering that the PS cloud steaming is garbage compared to XCloud and is limited to certain devices this isn't something to brag about. Wake me up when Diablo is on PS plus
The problem here is that even if he didn't purchase it himself, he can't actually disprove he allow someone else to use his account.
THIS was always one of the main concerns with things like game sharing (different from shareplay guys). Once you allow someone to put your account on a system that's NOT yours, this is the kind of thing you open yourself up to. That's why the part about the "different serial number" doesn't matter.
I've gotten refunds from Sony before on two occasions so I'm not sure about the anti-refund policy.
wow just give the guy a refund jeez, are they that starved for money?
This has happened before in different ways, such as the few people who accidentally purchased content when using their DS4 on the PS3 and it was interfacing with the PS4. Sony might as well just refund the content.
Every instance of digital consumerism is bound to have some issue or error. Hopefully they'll get it settled after this attention.
Its a tough problem coming from both sides of the fence. Seeing it from Sonys side and the Pockets side as well. I use PSN cards myself don't put my credit card online. But Sony should be doing more then banning the console that bought the game illegally. Your network got hacked just like other parts of the Sony branches that are on the news. The guy who hacks your network to buy a game illegally should have his ass nailed to the cross. But he gets a slap on the wrist by having his console banned.
Hopefully Pockets gets his cash back. Sonys networks are done being hacked and the hacker gets in shit.
