I'm curious about the adapter part. The PSVR2 uses a standard USB-C 3.2 Gen 2 port, so pretty much any mid-range motherboard from the last 4 or 5 years will have at least one header. So I hope this is actually a DisplayPort adapter/USB splitter; if so, this would make it THE VR headset to get.

It's super weird that it doesn't include the Amico and that it didn't kill it either. Still, Atari has been doing a great job with their own franchises, so it's probably a good thing for Intellivision fans.

@Lexreborn2
Then for sure, if you already have your library in digital form, something that can tap into it is definitely a good deal. That's basically the same reason why the Steam Deck is popular with PC and Steam users in general, because their library is available on it.

PS Plus is an extra cost though, and those games aren't yours. So I get where you are coming from, but that is a different discussion. As for the Portal, I don't get how people just...

They literally charged people $199 for a bottom-of-the-barrel tablet with a DualSense controller bolted on. So I really can't see them releasing a powerful yet affordable native handheld.

If you have them in digital form, for sure. Because I don't see Sony giving you a digital copy of your old physical PS4 games. That doesn't sound like them at all.

And also, Steam doesn't depend on PS4 games. PC got more games that generation than all the consoles combined. The ports of PlayStation games are just one of the cherries on top of the cake.

Honestly, I really like this updated version. But it doesn't solve the biggest flaw that the original had for me: the Z1 Extreme APU. Yes, it's an extremely powerful part, but it is not part of AMD's Adrenalin driver update program, so it's dependent on Asus for driver updates. And unfortunately, Asus doesn't have a stellar record of support for their devices.

I'm imagining something like RE3 - the original, not the remake - where you had to run all around and go back and forth between areas to find keys, codes, and whatnot.

If anything, the Switch proves the exact point "redrum06" was making. Yes, it might be successful, but it's definitely not future-proof. Just look at how many games and franchises completely skip the platform.

I'm probably extremely desensitized to this, as I'm from a country that only appears in games as either a reductive stereotype or a representation of countries within the same "continent", essentially a blend of various stereotypes. And honestly, I think it's kind of cool when we appear in games, regardless.

As for Oda being used as a villain, it's not the first time. Actually, I think I have consumed much more media where he is the villain, or at ...

I think they are a bit late for that complaint though. Assassin's Creed has ditched historical accuracy for probably a decade at this point. I do agree that a lot of the 'traditional' AC gameplay shouldn't work with Yasuke though; pretty much every stealth segment in the open or any secret gathering of intel should simply not work at all and be impossible for the guy. But those play a significantly smaller role in modern AC.

I mean it always start like this. Ubuntu was the same, started with just being able to load the GUI, now people can play classic PC titles like Fable and Warcraft 3 as well as emulate GC, Wii, 3DS and PS2 on their Switch. With Windows things are definitely harder because Windows on Arm is pretty garbo, but who knows in a couple of years.

I'd appreciate some smaller titles here and there to round out the gaming scene. While this year hasn't been particularly bad for 'new gen' titles, Sony's own studios seem to be lagging behind a bit. Most of their releases have been either cross-gen or remasters/remakes, and so far, there hasn't been anything from them this year.

Because the Ally is a Windows handheld and the Steam Deck is a Linux handheld, the latter will pretty much be the only handheld PC to suffer from this issue, as it stems from Sony's lack of support for the PSN outside of Windows.

That said, the title of this article might be a bit misleading for those who aren't aware of Valve's nomenclature for Steam Deck compatibility. An "Unsupported" classification is given for games that have even a single feature...

This rumor, or variants of it, appears pretty much every time there is a gap with a non-announced Zelda game in the works. So I would take it with a grain of salt."

That said, I have always wanted a game where you play as her. Not exactly a "Zelda game", mind you, I always see her making more sense in something like a city builder/management or strategy game.

You are conflating two different things. First is the score, and scores, by definition, are something completely open to manipulation because they are quantitative measures of qualitative analysis. The second is the review itself, which is what is written, and that is where the value of reviews lies, especially user reviews because they can point out things that "professional" reviews will not, for example, how the game behaves after an update or if it scales well with a certain tie...

The comparison with Skyrim is mind-boggling. Yes, Skyrim has streamlined many of the systems that Morrowind introduced. However, it did not tamper with the core of the Elder Scrolls franchise; it did not diminish the freedom and sense of exploration that made Bethesda RPGs famous. Fallout 4, on the other hand, did exactly that to the Fallout series. It eliminated what made Fallout such a beloved series to play. There are no consequences for your choices, no reason to explore, and barely any i...

I don't disagree. However, good writing and storytelling in games are still pretty rare. Honestly, AI as it is right now could probably produce output similar to, if not better than, your average experience. Especially because the main issue I see being thrown around for its use is the generation of ludonarrative problems. But, we have literal GotY winners that are incarnations of ludonarrative problems and written by humans. So if specialists don't care, would the average player even...

The ship building is kinda cool... And that's about it. In all seriousness, I don't think it's a bad game, but violently mediocre with some really head-scratching choices that made me go "why" rather than "wow" more often than not.

At this point, it's hard to find a single studio that isn't in danger. Tango has created their most well-regarded new IP of the last 10 years and was likely Xbox best entry point to Japan. However, it has been shut down, so now all bets are off.

@boing1

And what you think made Steam delist the game in the first place. I will give you hint it was not the unsuported PSN. It was that being brought to their attention by the negative reviews.

@CrimsonWing69

Such a cattle mentality... All of that is the result of the negative review campaign, not the other way around. That's what generated the fan outcry elsewhere, that's what made Steam assign real people to deal with the ...
