My question...when has the industry ever seen a Series S style console? I don't think we have ever actually seen a console strategy like Series S and X in the gaming space for launch. We have seen differences in hard drive space for SKU's for sure... but I don't ever recall seeing SKU's with the main difference being Hard drive, GPU for resolution impact only and disc drive-less. I mean by Jim Ryan's logic nobody ever buys a lower spec PC vs top of the line and certain...
Look, reality is Sony and Epic had a relationship prior to the investment...hence their working with Sony specifically around the tech demo. That partnership was a great boost for Sony and they realized investing in Epic would be a smart move...it was and is. I think it is safe to say moving forward Epic will always have some favorable things to say about their investor...doesn't mean it isn't true but I think its pretty clear we are not going to hear them come outright against any...
Well that feels like a setting the stage for $499 if I was to bet on this.
I see dead people...
Not the first time leaks like this have happened....wont be the last. Gears 3 had some issues as I recall. I am sure the game will still be fun to play. What I read in the leak... meh, I don't think this would persuade or dissuade me from playing the game if I was so inclined. That is all I will say.
LOL...that was a good chuckle
pretty confident in it being on a pro version and sold as a compatible add-on given they are trying to keep costs down on the overall console.
If there was any positive for Google Stadia since their launch its been this pandemic and their smart decision to launch the free service. I am confident they will see a nice uptick of people giving the service a try. How it holds up in this 2nd round of interest could be make or break for them given so many ISP's have been throttling bandwidth during this time.... We shall see. (and yes, I did the trial for 2 months....reminder set to cancel in 2 months as well).
Sure thing but per this rumor the source of this rumor has already stated: 1) he is not an insider with 1st hand knowledge 2) he heard this info from an unnamed friend.
Anyway it doesn't really matter... the rumor is posted. We can all now agree PS5 is 11 Teraflops. Right?
So now we are back to rumors are OK to post?
This looks very much like a marriage of Gears of War cover / shooter and Destiny powers
Definitely looking more interesting. I have no idea if this will be for me or not to be honest but I have enough curiosity that I will give it a try.
Funny thing...there is no cure for the flu, only drugs to ease symptoms and vaccines to help you fight off the flu. Convaid 19 treatment is basically the same as treating the flu. There are drugs to help ease the symptoms but ultimately its rest and allowing your body to fight it off.
I agree I'm not trying to say Sony has to do anything at the moment. Merely pointing out this article was trying to state that Sony was defensive with the PS4 when actually they were very aggressive and that was a formula for success for them.
Quite the contrary....
"Sony let Microsoft make fools out of themselves during the Xbox One reveal, before stepping in and letting the clarity of vision and design of the PS4 ".... this is factually incorrect. Sony revealed the PS4 far earlier in Feb. and the specs were better than what had been speculated on. Later, in May MS had an event to unveil the Xbox One and then they fully unveiled at E3 with the ill fated results of that well documented. Sony was already known to be more powerful....it was th...
This is fear mongering at its worse imo.... yes Coronavirus is bad... the flu virus is worse and yet you see ZERO companies over the years pulling out of a conference over flu bugs that year.
Sure there is money they will lose out on in prepaid slot holding, etc... but they will still save a ton by not having to pay for travel, shipping of booths, hotels for employees and food... all of that is expense they save which is significant.
The reasoning feels pretty damn thin when you consider... To date, eight cases have been confirmed in the US: three people in California, two in Illinois and one individual each in Massachusetts, Washington State, and Arizona. 8 cases is not an outbreak...nor should that prevent a company from conducting their business. Sony has a US presence and plenty of US capability to pull off the show with out any need of Sony Japan needing to travel. Sony elected to save a few bucks nothing more not...
But is it smaller? I could careless about the weight, just would like to see a smaller footprint.
