They weren't trying to remake Black Flag. They made a great game that centers on sea battles and piracy. Nothing broken about it, so yeah, IMO, the hate is unwarranted.
I honestly don't understand the hate for the game. Folks giving it a 3 out of 10? Really? I could see a 3 if it was a broken pile of garbage, but it's not. I'm enjoying the hell out of it. I'm expecting things like card games and/or dice later.

I played this on the Quest 2. There's no tag for that platform.
The game plays great on the Quest 2 already. If anything, an updated version for the Quest 3 with improved graphics would be awesome.
The Quest 2 isn't all that weak, but yes, a Quest Pro or Quest 3 only upgraded version would be awesome.

I'm hoping for a nice campaign.
Campaigns are always my favorite part. Play on the hardest difficulty the first time through, and then mop up for any trophies I missed on my 2nd play through on the easiest difficulty.
This is as close to Fight Night as we will get for a while. I'm hoping for a stand-n-bang mode. Tyson is in the game.
Looks like a nice horror game is on tap for next week.
