The sad part is that focusing on whether or not Raptor (or any other poster) currently owns an XB1 is more important to you than whether MS's actions are encouraging gamers to Jump-in. Without exclusives, no platform (except PC) can expect to draw in new gamers. While I myself am a PC/PS gamer, Scale bound and Quantum Break had me tempted to Jump-in into a used XB1 to help justify such an investment. Now I dont see any game that could do that let alone put my faith into MS to properly sup...
What killed it for me was when I had to start playing on my PS4. Next boot up the game on my PS3 to the point of account activation, then quickly close the game on my PS3. All this just to unlock the DLC on my PS4.
Maybe a sequel to 16bit Hero called.... 32bit Hero.😉

I agree with ya. I could see this being target specs for PS5, but a PS4k/PS4.5/Elite just sounds stupid. This gen will likely be 6 years old before the next gen consoles drop so Sony working on the PS5 at this time makes sense.

Well I think I'll wait for the FFVII Trillogy Game of the Year Definitive Edition. I know its coming so I will just wait till its all packed into one game. I so miss Squaresoft.
Sounds like Clan Dojos in Warframe.
I hope so... would be a bitter day for them.
Only way this could realy take off in gaming is if it was paired with tv gaming. Have the hud only on the Hololens and the rest of the graphics on screen. Hmmm could potentially take Star Citizen to a whole knew height of immersion with the proper setup.
I don't mind some grinding to get gear and such. What I do mind is gaming that feels like a second job due to how much work is needed to get anything. Then for my work to be turned into trash due to dev's not approving of gamers making the most of the tools/gear they've been given.
To top it all off, my gear becomes obsolete when the next DLC drops. House of Wolves was a step in the right direction, but TTK basically took everything back to day one again. Just mu...
finally someone caught on.
Do not try to complete the grind, that's impossible.
Instead, only try to realize the truth.
There is no grind.
Then you'll see that it's not the grind that is real.
Tis only Bungie's greed.
Yea, I'm slowly walking away from this game. I'm tired of working hard to get some gear and level it up, only to have Bungie nerfgrade it all when the next patch/DLC drops.
Now the mess that is Destiny makes perfect sense.
Good job Kotaku, you've finally created an actual AAA gaming news article. Keep this up and you just might become a reputable news site.
What concerns me is that increasing drop rates is an indirect way of selling gear. The truely devious part is that players are not able to actually choose what drops, thus they will have to pay RNGesus more money for that one piece of gear they are seeking.
... and why are they 31 Strange Coins?
I think that has more to do with how bad win8 turned out.
$20 in Warframe will get you more bang for your buck if spent on vault space. Once that is unlocked the whole game is your oyster to pick clean.
I'm gonna have to agree with you for once Bigpappy.
As a PS/PC gamer, even I have to agree that this is a great move by MS. Some days
I wish I could just pop in a PS1-4 game into the same console. That would eliminate having to power down one console, changing tv input channel, then powering up the next console.
