They developed the headset/attached usb c cable so that it wasn’t possible to run through any port other than a designated ps5 port. The adapter allows all the data to be passed correctly to a none designated ps5 port.
Im not a massive FIFA fan (..I used to be) but I fail to see how this would be positive news to anybody... 2K games are a bigger cancer to the gaming industry than even EA... Isn't this, although difficult to believe, a step backwards?

Still waiting for its first patch which is worrying. I know it’s been a single man developer but there’s really no excuse for no updates being released since launch. I’ve been part of many single developer releases that are updated daily, sometimes hourly. This’s hasn’t had a single one yet….

I’ve got it, never played it. Prey is a game I really wanted to like and it’s a game I really should have liked, everything about it is right up my street. But I just don’t know what it was but I just couldn’t stick with it.

The patch was literally a framerate patch and should have been marketed that way. That would have been received perfectly fine. Instead in typical fashion it was a completely BS fake “next-gen” marketing campaign.
This is why this industry needs proper regulatory body. We can’t have nice things as it’s being ruined by these crooks.
Sorry, yes youre right to an extent. I'm running it with VRR on in a 120 container so my TV reports its running at 119/120 but your right its really around 40. So no, im not lying as you were, i'm just not explaining it correctly.
I was one of those that slated it on release but I genuinely think Days Gone was one of PlayStations best ever games. Which makes its situation so much stranger.
In real world terms It’s identical to the ps4 version. Identical. Except for a big framerate boost which is nice.

My ps4 version boots fine after the update. It flashed up some long message about the ps5 version when I got in to the game menu but as soon as it appeared the message disappeared so I couldn’t read it. But the game loaded in and I was able to play.
Really looking forward to this. Haven’t been excited for a game in a long time and something about this game just got me excited to play it for some reason. Hope it’s good, little worried that it’s a single developer though.
Been keeping my eye on this game for a while but never took the plunge and bought it because it seems to get a lot of stick from the community that the devs are all talk and no action. They’ve been promising an awful lot but not actually releasing anything new so maybe an easy way out??

I bought this last week in the sale but I was so sick after playing it for 30 minutes. Suppose it was good that I was physically sick as after throwing up it only took another 30 mins to feel better. Where as usually it takes me a little longer to feel sick from VR but I’m not usually physically sick but I’ll usually feel awful for about 4-8 hours after.
It doesn’t make any sense whatsoever, never has done, no matter how many times it’s repeated.
I don’t understand how people don’t understand that Sony can’t lose money taking this approach. They have potential of none ps5 owners purchasing the headset. They can make more sales by re-releasing their PSVR2 titles to pc. They also make no money from pc only vr titles anyway so again, they don’t lose any money there either.
