2010 has been a stellar so far for the Xbox 360 with a lineup that contained great exclusive games and multiplatform titles. Here are the top ten games released for the system during the first-half of the year.

Street Fighter and Darksiders sold more on PS3 worldwide, ME2 sold more on PC, RDR and BC2 are the only ones that sold more on 360. Conviction was a joke on PC with DRM so I won't mention it.

Lot's of people don't want to game on a PC. I'm not saying it is bad, I am just saying that many people choose consoles for various reasons.

Now if you are going to be choosing a console, the 360 has the biggest library of games of any current gen consoles. It performs very well with multiplatform games. Has many great exclusives like Gears of War series, Mass Effect series, Halo series, Fable series, Alan Wake, and Left 4 Dead series. And has the smoothest and most feature rich online service of any console.

So why in the world would anybody want such a console? Hmm...maybe because IT'S A GREAT CONSOLE!

8. Bioshock 2 was not as good as I thought it would be. The first one was amazing but the sequel felt like the same game almost entirely.
7. Bad Company 2 was pretty solid. I'm not a fan of it's floaty multiplayer though.

Conviction was on the PC as well, what's that about PS3 fanboys? PC runs it better. Mass Effect is still better on the PC, 1 disc > 2 disc. Higher FPS, resolution and custom keys.

You can run majority of those games in linux, those aren't 360 exclusive. Sony also has SoE games on the PC so your statement is invalid.

Of course not. On the internet all PS3 fanboys act like they own PCs, but on my friends list on my PS3 I see everybody playing a bunch of multi-platfrom games. They are hypocrites. They act like they own PCs to attack the 360, but then they turn around and buy those multi-platform games for their PS3s, even though the PC versions are technically superior.

The only reason it could be prolonged is because of the Multiplayer and coop game modes. Coop was much better than the SP campaign alone and since less than half of the Xbox 360 install base has Gold to play online with it. Well, that's not saying much. At least there is split screen though, it wasn't worth $60 though. Just a solid rent to go along with the 80+ average it had.

Hated Darksiders and Bayonetta though. Darksiders tried to hard to be itself when it borrowed from dozens of games. Voice acting was the best part of it, I had beaten it before the patch that fixed the friggin terrible screen tearing on the 360 version. Bayonetta all in all just annoyed me, playing it on the PS3 did NOT make it any better either -_-

Glad to see Alan Wake and Red Dead on there both great games. I probable wouldn't have put Bioshock 2 on there that game drfinatly wasn't as good as the first and in general felt like a mediocore game. I really didn't care for Mass Effect 2 and the others were pretty good.

You ps3 trolls are so obsessed with exclusives, even though half the exclusives suck. There are far more good multi-platform games than exclusives. The only exclusives I like on the ps3 are God of War 3, Uncharted 1&2, MGS4 and Killzone 2. If it wasn't for multi-platform games the PS3 would be starving for games that appeal to me.

The way I see it, this year the PS3 has GOW3, Mod Nation Racers, MAG, Heavy Rain, GT5, and LBP2. Out of all those the only one I really like is GOW3. MAG and MNR sucked in my opinion. Heavy Rain Was ok, but Alan Wake was much better. GT5 will be good for those that like racing sims. LBP2 is too cutesy and gets boring to me.

The 360 has more to offer me this year with games like Mass Effect 2, Alan Wake, Splinter Cell Conviction, Metro 2033, Halo Reach, and Fable 3.

How is that? Fable 3 is a RPG. Mass Effect 2 is an RPG. Alan Wake is a psychological action thriller. Splinter Cell Conviction is a stealth action game. Halo Reach and Metro 2033 are shooters.
We already got a great racing game at the end of last year: Forza 3.

Look at how many of the PS3's top games revolve around "shooting stuff": Uncharted 2, Killzone 2, MGS4. Who can help that games that have shooting elements are the most popular these days? It's just the way it is.

The PS3's best game of 2010 so far is the 360's second best game according to this website's 360 and PS3 lists. That would suggest that the 360 has had better games than the PS3 so far this year. As we all know, according to N4G logic, it is not possible for the 360 to have better games than the PS3, or to have any good games at all whatsoever. Nor is it possible for even the best multiplatform games to be better than the worst PS3 exclusives. Therefore this list is invalid and should not be taken seriously.

Good list, got a lot of them still to play. I use low spec Mac Mini for computing so I personally don't care if a game is also on the PC. Exclusive or not, those are 10 great games (well, I hope they are when I get around to playing them).

Somehow I knew this would be a rehash of the tired old argument over the definition of exclusive. The typical flaming, the typical trolling. Some people sure do get their feelings hurt because someone else didn't pick their console of choice.

If people can afford only one console and their choice was the 360 then they did have some really good games to play in the first half of 2010. Doesn't matter whether they are exclusive or multiplat, because they only have one console anyway. Unless people are saying that some of those exclusives weren't good.

Mass Effect 2 of course, Alan Wake, Splinter Cell Conviction, but why no Metro 2033? That game received high ratings and was amazing. I loved it! Halo Reach and Fable 3 would have been on that list had this list came out a bit later. Quality games though.
