I know that. Its just that the majority of the transformer media like the tv series and the movies take place on earth. Its good to see the back story of where they came from but i still miss their rumblings on earth.

I think you mean. The parts of transformers that you know about. Out of 5 seasons for the original 2 were on earth 3 were in space. Comics had a lot of Cybertron in them as well.

This game is more for old school fans than anyone else.

Trust me, the multiplayer is good enough on its own, I would buy the game for the MP alone, having SP ont op of it is great. The multiplayer demo is amazing.

I got the PS3 version and I'm wondering how the 360 holds up in comparison. My xbl account just expired and I had to take the "freeway" so I could play online. I like the game a lot, but I don't know about that 9.0. That might be a touch high. Here and there I saw some frame rate drops, nothing crazy or deal breaking but I wonder which version does it more. Being a big fan of the Pat Lee Megatron, I'm a little disappointed with this iteration. His voice is meh and he walks like he has to take a dump. Also, his mace is nowhere near as cool as Prime's axe. Anyway, getting back to my point, I got both systems and I'd like to see which one performs better. And unless the 360 version blows the PS3 version outta the water, I'm pleased with with this one. I'll give it an 8.

So I bought the game at Best Buy in Canada as it's 39.99 for the first 3 days and I'm liking the campaign so far. Maybe my opinion of it will change due to the single player. I haven't tried the multiplayer yet.

I'm interested in the PC version as well, hope the porting was done properly.

And it's cheaper because that extra $20 you'd pay on the console versions goes straight to MS or Sony. They essentially charge you to play on their platform, but that doesn't apply with PC games.

I remember I bought Aliens Vs Predator on release day for £17.99 from amazon, it was £39.99 for the consoles. Quite a saving and I got the better version, hurrah for PC gaming!

And I'm absolutely stoked that this developer has managed to capture the magic of the Transformers franchise in a videogame. This generation seems like the uprising of licensed IP's. First, Batman: Arkham Assylum comes out of nowhere and picks up a few GOTY awards.mSecond, Toy Story 3 surprises everyone with it excellent ability to incorporate the charm of the movie and now this games comes out. I think developers are finally getting it - when you're developing a game for a beloved series loved by millions of people, you need to treat it with respect. That's precisely what these three developer behind these games have done.

Finally a good Transformers game that is not based on the Michel Bay movies. Shame the game has the words Activision on the box. I like the Cybertronian forms shame I cannot play as the G1 earth forms with Optimus as the red truck and trailer. I hope it will fallow the Age of Darkness story .

Talk about off my radar. I had written this off a long time ago as another ho-hum game. My buddy on PSN said check out the review so I did. Then I checked out the gameplay vids and was like "Effing Sweet!" I just got back from gamestop and have played part of the tutorial and this game seems pretty solid. The opening CG is epic good! Im waiting for my friends to get it so we can do the campaign in coop mode. what a summer suprise!

Game looks pretty good, surprising considering good Transformers games have been rare. It's unfortunate that this has to be associated with Activision.
