I am not hyped for GTA IV, its going to a great game, but I am tired of it, from the looks of it, other than graphics its just another GTA game. Seriosuly, R* should try something new.

i kinda agree im not that hyped about it. im sure it will be great and sell alot but for some reason. i dont find this game that interesting. but i will probaly get it anyway on my ps3. hope they will show something of this game that makes my hype go up :))

The graphics are not the highlight of GTA4. They've been improved with RAGE, yes. But R* is going to really be pushing for next gen GAMEPLAY. Think about Gears of War; it looks amazing, but is there really anything groundbreaking about the gameplay? It's fun, but, could've been done 4 years ago.

Rockstar isn't hyping the game up either... they are running very subtle ad campaigns and it is everyone else that is hyping it up (including people like me). I think you will be surprised when you play this; I don't think it will be like anything else we've played before... GTA + Physics (Euphoria) = Awesome.

Of course, I could be completely wrong and it could simply be the same game with a facelift. But I doubt that.

but, I'll tell you why I do.

I'm not yet convinced that "extra content" won't ALREADY be included in the PS3 version.
There IS the extra room on the Blu-ray disc to have the content shipped with the game at launch.

I haven't read anything, anywhere to indicate otherwise.

If someone here can help out with any conclusive information (not opinions or rumors) concerning this I'd really appreciate it.
'Cause I've been holding off my pre-order trying to decide which version to get AND I want to reserve my copy before it's too late. =/

Also, does anyone know what the content is? 'Cause if it's a different set of cars or new clothes for your character then I don't think I'd bother. That kind of thing doesn't change the gameplay in the least.

However, if it's extra missions or multiplayer gametypes...then I'm sold on the 360 version for sure!

It's extra missions that combine into the main storyline.

There's 2 sets, each one half the size of the original game, both combining to be as big as the original game (GTAIV).

if you have to get info thats nearly a year old.
MS just reconfirmed last week at e3 that the content was 360 exclusive. i dont see why you would believe angry sony fanboys lies instead of MS themselves. click on the source you gave us. it has nothing but speculation. nothing official

Nothing in your comment proves to me that the 360 content will only be available for that system.
"Exclusive Downloadable Content for 360" might mean just that: only downloadable for 360, since you wouldn't have to DL it for the PS3 version IF it's already included.
It could very well be corporate "newspeak." Kinda like Sony announcing UT3 as "Exclusive." Sure it is but, only technically. What they really mean is something completely different; that UT3 is "Timed Exclusive." You have to admit though, it sounds better for Sony when they make the statement the other way.

Anyhow, I'm really not interested in opinions or rumors, just the facts.

if you dont believe me then look at the 2006 and 2007 microsoft press confrence, in both of them they state there exclusive. and then look at the sony press confrence.they dont even mention anything about it. if they had something to combat the content they 100% would of announced it at last weeks e3.
why would this be included on disk? come on..seriously. R* is gonna be working on this after the game releases. there gonna release this stuff q1 2007 and q3 2007(i think thats what the release dates were) how are they gonna include them on ps3 if they arent even made yet? and why do you ignore the fact that MS payed 50 million dollars for the exclusive content? Rockstar has NEVER shown us early gameplay of the GTA series- so relax. The game is gonna rock, the graphics, while not mind-blowing, will serve its purpose in immersing you into possibly one of the best action/story driven games on consoles. And gameplay... Look Rockstar has a TRACK record. Okay. I mean just look up any of the previous scores for GTA and you'll see that the game is CONSISTENT. Don't get all panicky just because Rockstar has only released two movies and a handful of screens. That's just what they've ALWAYS been doing, man.

Btw Rockstar has DLC for the PS3 version. The 360 version will get extra missions/episodes, the PS3 version will get extra areas added onto Liberty City.

Both versions will be great guys! MS bought the right to earlier content that was exclusive to the 360, but the PS3 version will also get DLC (Just different to the 360's). Rockstar haven't broken the terms of the exclusive by doing this. It mentioned nothing about PREVENTING the release of content for the PS3, just that the 360 would get exclusive content (Rockstar will just put out different content for the PS3 version, thus not breaking their terms of agreement).

Rockstar don't play by anyone elses rules, they play by their own. They don't follow the same marketing schemes as other companies, they just let the game sell itself when it's released. GTA4 will sell big time without hype from R* and they know that.

Don't expect Rockstar to play nice with MS because they got $50 million from them. I like R* and the way they do business. It would be exactly the same if Sony had paid them for content...

To see which 1 im buying but im leaning more toward the ps3 ver. if there both gonna get extra content let know wut it is and how much your gonna charge 4 it??

If its just 1 or 2 missions i dont think its worth an extra $10-$20

If the ps3 rumors r true and u extra city then thats worth more because once u pass a level u pass a level u can always return to new portions of the city.

This is what I heard: "it would be like imagining Liberty City as an island with the extra areas linking to it".

I'm guessing the extra areas expand the city but won't make the map twice as big if you see what I mean. They'll be good detailed small additions to the map. Well worth it I might add.

The 360 will have extra episodes to download, which sounds awesome. I think as MS paid $50 million for the extra content the 360 will have quite a few episodes (I think possibly 3 or 4).

Of course there'll be a wait for the PS3 content as R* will be doing the 360 content first (Due to the exclusivity).

So 360 guys you'll get your fix first. PS3 guys, like myself, will have to wait (Unless the content is included, but I highly doubt that)

Why did anyone that love the series play GTA?

Even early on the PC, when I used to play it Top-Down view, it has always been about the Gameplay and violence, straight up.

Took me a while to get VICE city, but I played the game on the PS2 and beat it, and no I did not buy it on the XBOX even though, I seen it and it looked much more polished. The 80's scene, music/radio stations and environment made Vice City memorable. That's probably why , I enjoyed more than San Andreas. Hey, I'm old-school.

When I see games early to mid development, I know, the graphics will be there in the end. I'm more interested in what you can do now. Of course the PS3 can allow for bigger maps because of the Blue-ray paying dividends. The 360 will be getting Extra stuff but I'm not sure what that is, hopefully it's worth it.

GTA is pure adult oriented gameplay fun. Graphics come after. that's just me.

On this Article, well yeah the pics don't look so great, oh well the game is not polished I'm sure. The hype of this game went down the tubes, well quite frankley it's a Multi-platform game and we know how much love they get on here.

I was hooked by the free-roam aspect of GTA. The main reason it's become such a huge hit series.

I played on the PC version first, round my cousin's house and was hooked just getting used to the controls, then I got used to driving round, 'jacking buses and ploughing through police roadblocks lol.

So I followed the series ever since. GTA3 is my favourite in the series simply because it was the first 3D version and I remember clearly the amount of hype up to release. Loved the story, the islands, the radio stations (Chatterbox lol) and the whole game pretty much.
