Talking to Gamasutra, Frank Pearce, founding member and senior vice president of product development for Blizzard revealed that the company has a third team hard at work on a new title, separate from World of Warcraft and StarCraft II.
When pressed for details regarding the new project, Pearce was cagey. "Team 3 is working on something really awesome. I can't give you any hints, but it's totally awesome."
Soulmask is another indie survival-crafter looking to wear the genre's increasingly contested crown, but its player numbers are no joke.
Like the competition, I just hope there's enough to go around. Seems to be alot of survival games already this year.
This one does look cool. Reminds me of Zeno Clash
Austin Suther of TechRaptor writes, "We get another look at Free Lives and Devolver's Anger Foot, and it's looking crazier than ever."
The long-awaited FPS Selaco, running on the GZDoom engine, is finally out in Early Access, and it's even better than we thought.
Wow, not much for information but I'm always supportive for something "...totally awesome..." as Pearce has stated.
Must be a slow news day if Gamasutra put this up. This is Lasersharks material.
"Something really awesome"?
It's a Blizzard game, I have no doubt it will be a fantastic game.
I can't wait too see what kind of new IP is could be. They have sci-fi, and two fantasy games. Two RTS, one RPG, one failed shooter and one MMO, a new game genre would be cool.
If it comes from Blizzard, I'll buy it.
it will be Diablo 3 they already said they didn't want to start a new IP
Please be D3. Please.
