Bungie making a PS3 game? I don't think so. Even though they're independent, they'll probably stay 2nd party and MS won't let them go anywhere near Sony. Bungie is to MS what Insomniac is to Sony.

And even if they do, the game will most probably be multiplatform. the possibility of a PS3 exclusive Bungie game is EXTREMELY low.

what he's worked towards thus far, but I tried to watch his show twice and I'm not just saying this, I got frustrated trying to listen to him talk and stopped it. I can't be perceptive enough to "watch" a show that has so much fluff anyways and "yo, check it out" diction. I don't dislike the guy, just the delivery. I respect what he's garnered thus far I guess, as well as the connections and rapport he's established, but it's personally difficult to read his posts or listen to him talk. Until that point they never even had ps3 dev kits at the studio.

Games take roughly 2-3 years to make, with a regular cycle, and if you include the fact that they'd have to work on a new engine for the ps3, and they were still working on halo titles, I can guarantee they will not have a game ready for the ps3 by next year.

They might be working on a game for the ps3, who knows, but they will not have one ready for release next year.

With the exception of halo 3 odst (which in itself was smaller then most bungie titles) and halo reach, bungie has never announced more then 1 game being worked on at any given time. It's pretty hard to think that they'd announce another title before the release of reach.

However I do agree with you that they might be making a more open world game, considering that their latest siggraph paper discusses at length tod(time of day) and atmospheric lighting. Bungie also has a pretty good understanding of larger maps considering that some of their maps are the largest in the gaming environment. However I would actually guess that what bungie is working on is some form of MMOFPS title.

Yeah 640p would be really pushing the ps3 hardware to the limit any smart ps3 developer would be smart leaving it right at 480p that the ps3 sweet spot for 4d graphics.

But when you screw up something as saying a Demo is coming with AC2 and you are about as wrong as the left shoe on the right ear, how do you expect people to believe you? GOW3 - if you think the graphics are bad on GOW3 then you probably want to gouge your eyes out whenever you see a 360 game. Plus you can't really comment on it since it isn't out yet, just the unfinished demo is..

Demons souls: made most hardcore gamers piss themselves because it was so difficult, nice chage from recent games tbh.

Infamous: meh, some like it, others don't, but you can't really call it a cheap comic story and the graphics are far from bad.

MAG: again, you haven't played the finished product, so a 256 a side game may still be possible.

Heavy Rain: innovative story, mindblowing graphics and character facials. and yet again, ITS NOT OUT YET!

Bungie making a multi-plat game isn't totally insane. It will not be exclusive because of their huge fan base on the 360, but because they aren't owned by MS they could very well have a game on the PS3 as well. I know a little while back they were looking for a publisher and MS wasn't the only one in the running. If MS didn't get exclusive rights to whatever their next project is then it could very well be on the PS3 as well as the 360.

Well Bungie does have a guy with PS3 experience working for them now. I don't remember his name but he worked @ Naught Dog and on the 1st Uncharted game, not sure if he worked on the 2nd at all.

So it would not surprise me if Bungle made a PS3 game in the future seeing they brought in a guy from arguably the best PS3 dev in the business.
