So yesterday i gave a demonstrational speech to my college communications class about the capabilities of the ps3. One of the things i showed was the new picture gallery thing. I didn't want anyone to see any of my pictures so i just googled some random pictures, AND THE PICTURE IN YOUR AVATAR WAS ONE OF THEM LOL...CONGRATULATIONS YOU GET A COOKIE.

i just hope its not another cod4 clone like WaW was. i really hope that they keep vehicles out of multiplayer. tanks are one of the reasons i cant stand WaW.

i think that they need to bring some new ideas to the table. i have more faith in Infinity Ward than Treyarch to do some innovating.

i know a lot of people will disagree, but i like killzones weighted control and think thats what fps's should try to improve on in the future. also the multiple objectives in one match is great as well.

I'm putting money on a mission where you're on the back of a snowmobile and you have to shoot everything while on the back. And no, tanks will NOT be in this game. This game appears to be more tactical and tanks indicate an army or large military force is at work not something so covert as MW2 will be. The vehicles will most likely be snowmobiles, underwater propulsion fans and a plane (I hope not) or something like that...I don't really care, I just want some stealth night missions, screw teh FPS underwater swimming crap, that's pointless, this is MW we're talking about. If I want to swim in an FPS I'll play oblivion

it's not going to be any different than part 4. which isn't necessarily a bad thing i guess i liked part 4. but if u guys think it's going to be any different than your sadly mistaken. they might add a little weight to the feel. i hope anyways. but they have a winning formula why change it?

Here's a brief overview of the text, until I can get a higher-res gallery out.

Soap is in the game as a "grizzled vet" NPC.

Single player enemies will have "customized" weapons similar to the multiplayer component of COD4.

The ice mission shown to GI demonstrated the game's open-ended approach to combat, showing how stealth can be implemented if the player chooses.

While the gameplay is open-ended, the story is "on-rails".

Infinity Ward realizes that the "invisible line" where enemies will stop coming in COD4 wasn't great, so they're trying hard to eliminate that. Also, they are lengthening the single player past the 6-10 hour mark of COD4.

"Special Forces Mode" is a major part of MW2, a series of missions in the spirit of the Mile High Club from COD4. It will also have co-op in this mode. Gears-style bleed-out-and-partner-revive will be used.

Co-op apparently won't exist in Story Mode.

Riot shields will be implemented in the game.

Zakhaev's former associate, Makarov, is the "new face of global terrorism."

Snowmobiles are used as a form of escape in the demonstration. Unclear whether or not the player will drive, shoot, or both.

Players will alternate using the two triggers to climb ice-walls.

Movable turrets will be used in SF mode and Single Player, no official word on online use.

IW wants to implement an accomplishment system to online, as they want to make their players famous.

Online mode will use a "Live-Patching" system, where IW can manipulate spawn logic or certain parts of a multiplayer map without doing a full-blown patch.

Another demoed area shows an enormous desert setting where Task Force 141 drops into a wasteland and must navigate a "lengthy trek" to a fully-rendered valley with scattered caves, reminiscent of Iron Man.

IW is focusing on details for the COD4 sequel, citing iced-up tire treads in the Russian level.

The game will run in 60fps (duh).

that Special Forces Mode sounds awesome, im glad they are making a separate co-op mode from the main story. should add plenty more value to it.

also that "Live-Patching" sounds pretty innovative, multiplayer can get pretty dull if things like spawn points never get any variation. i wonder what else they can change without actual patches... hmmm. i hope they will do some surprising things to throw us off :P

looks like IW really know what they're doing, i cant wait to get into this game. though if MAG succeeds (and i think it will), i will have a hard time deciding which to play :( hmm i think i'll just play MAG when i want the illusion of being in a massive war, and MW2 when i want some more intimate combat on a smaller scale..

if you want to read the text just save the scans and you can just zoom in and read it. Its in high resolution its just the site that re scaled them.

u can also just zoom into the scans by clicking on them and making all the text bigger by holding Ctrl and if u have a mouse with a scrolling wheel just spin it to adjust the size :D thats what i did

i think this game might really surprise people in terms of scope and the way it is played

i get the distinct impression there is something that will be quite special about this title that may elevate it up to legendary status beyond that of its predecessor

its a multiplatform game so it cant compare to Killzone 2 or Uncharted 2, didnt you folks get the memo on these matters.
