Mozilla's Asa Dotzler, in attempting to visualize the Web's user growth since 1996, gives two startling suggestions, neither of which will endear him to the Microsoft Internet Explorer crowd:
1. The Web has about doubled in size since Safari and Firefox came on the scene, and since that time, Firefox has captured almost half of that growth;
2. The Web is still growing really, really fast. (This visualization) demonstrates how quickly a dominant player can fall, not from users switching, but from growth alone. This is part of what makes Microsoft's desktop monopoly and its lock on the PC (manufacturing) channel so dangerous and potent a weapon. Even if they don't get people to switch, just owning the first experience is worth about 100 million new users a year.
In all the decades I have been a gamer, I have never played a game that gave me so much control. Men of War 2 is overwhelming, and that can be both a good and a bad thing.
Square Enix's upcoming action role-playing game, Kingdom Hearts 4, will not be making an appearance at Summer Game Fest 2024.
Playstation Blog writes: "Players will have access to buy and play Steam’s expansive library of thousands of VR games, including fan favorites like Half-Life: Alyx, Fallout 4 VR, and War Thunder."
Yeah, with none of the headset's standout features. No HDR, no eye tracking, no headset feedback, no adaptive triggers, and no haptics. Don't get me wrong, it's still a quality headset with good lenses and screens, but without those features it is not a no-brainer for PCVR, it falls more into the "it's fine" category and you get better value elsewhere with the PICO 4 and Quest 3.
Still, if you already have a PSVR2 and a gaming PC, this is a huge extra value for not that much extra money. And if you have a PS5 and a PC, this might be worth it for you as well. And hopefully someone can mod the extra features to it in the future, then it will be back at the no-brainer category for PCVR.
netscape say hi. :D
