YES! The PS3 is the only device I have that doesn't work on my Harmony. It is going to be nice to be able to control everything from one remote.

I definately recommend the Harmony remote it's a bit spendy but it's worth it.

fill me in on wat a harmony is?

pwnsause5553d ago (Edited 5553d ago )

is a universal remote developed by Logitech. its really awesome.

http://www.logitech.com/ind...

one of the Harmony remotes they developed so far was an xbox 360 harmony remote.

BTW, is there anyone who lives in New York City and watches TV through digital Cable service (TWC/Cablevision) and owns a harmony remote, can anyone tell me if its compatible to those cable boxes?

but very pricey, specially the model 1100. It's like buying another PS3.

importfighter5553d ago

All the remotes pretty much do the same thing

besides the 890 and 1000 which can Work with an RF ADAPTER

any one of those Remotes are awesome if u have more then 3 remotes in ur room

It boggles my mind that a remote manufacter never made one that used bluetooth. They would have made a killing. And no it doesnt cost much at all to make BT devices.

pwnsause5553d ago

its not just remotes, buy every type of controller in general.

i still dont understand why i cant user my guitar controller or 3rd party controller thru bluetooth on the PS3. Like seriously WTF? i dont want to be using dongles on my PS3. is sony not allowing companies to do so?

Narutone665553d ago (Edited 5553d ago )

most household appliances uses RF for their remote. RF module is much cheaper than a Bluetooth module. The downside to RF is that you need a line of sight to control an appliance. Hopefully with the Bluetooth module coming down in price, we will see a trend where it will replace RF.

Gish5552d ago

I do understand that BT is more expensive to make than RF, but these are Harmony remotes, not exactly the cheapest ones made. You know a ton of PS3 owners would have ponied up 30 or so more bucks to get that ability. That's whats weird to me. I can understand the guitar's and such.

Narutone665552d ago

It is still a "Universal Remote", that's why it is universally compatible with the most appliances which uses RF. BT as a mean of remote control is still considered a niche market to most part of the world.

Black ops 4, because it was the last cod of duty I was able to dominate with a +2 k/d ratio. Before all the freaking cheating started to happen. It was nice catching people off guard and shooting at them first and getting the kill. Unlike now, where I shoot people first, but they gun me down with less hits, less time, literally feels like they can kill me in a split second. At times, they are able to run away after me shooting them way more than necessary, yet, the second I'm spotted, I'm dead, there's no me running away to cover. They can do cartwheels, summersaults, backflips and gun you down perfectly. They can shoot you across the map with perfect accuracy. They can jump around like morons and gun you down without even having to correct their aim. They have superman split second perfect reactions. That's the best way to describe it, everything they do is spot on perfect. They can spam and spray (no praying) their gun from far away, because they have no recoil or bullet spread. It always feels like I have to aim and also correct my aim when moving around, while these pricks don't have to do the same.

And yes, I know how to play fps games. I dominated many fps games like: Resistance 1&2, kz 2&3, Socom, MAG, Crysis, Gotham City Impostors, blitz brigade etc. all with 2-4 k/d ratio. Kz2 (lag input controls) and resistance (no aim assist in resistance) being the hardest and were the games I reached either close to a 3 k/d ratio or above.

I truly got to enjoy blacks ops 4 and got my money's worth out of it. Afterwords, I would either stop playing cod games after a while, because of the cheating, or would skip buying cod games for a year or two before buying another.

Numbers 6-9 were some of my absolute favorite early gen PS3 games. I'm still bitter about Incognito and Japan Studio.

Goodguy011d 14h ago

The white knight chronicles and infamous games really need to come to modern platforms. MAG I really miss...poor zipper. The ps3 was definitely a unique console despite it being the worst home console of PlayStation.

Is it running the same Windows OS? Because that is the biggest issue with the current Ally.
