The XDefiant Server Test Session has come and gone, and while it proved the game is fun, there are a few key changes that needs to happen.
XDefiant players are hoping Ubisoft introduces Rabbids to the game in the same vein as CoD has with zombies.

Nope if it's lucky it'll fall into its own niche with a dedicated fanbase but it's ubi they can't really do anything right lately
It's a hero shooter. I played a few games. It doesn't compete with cod at all. 5v5 with very little customisation. It's okay for free but it isn't cool or fresh to the point I'd play it every day
Not at all. The controls are way too wonky. I don’t understand it, though. Why do all these These developers keep trying to make a call of duty killer, but they don’t copy the controls exactly!? Is it that hard? You wouldn’t think so. I think the reason is because they start out with good intentions, but then they let their ego get in the way and try to make something that sets them apart, some. Which, defeats the whole purpose and ultimately dooms the game.
Why do the controls have to be “like cod,” and does every fps need to be? This is why I stopped playing fps games
Not every game needs cod controls even cod has altered their controls over the past what 20 years. But this game does seems to want to take the cod crowd into a altered version of COD
If I had a dime for every "new COD Killer" that wasn't I could retire right now.

See, and that's a part of the reason (among many) that the industry is in the state it's in. Instead of letting a game stand on its' own merit, they label it "X killer). And then wonder why said game fails over time.
Yeah, you'd think that the industry would learn to stop throwing the "X game killer" title around by now.

The last test was fun. But I feel if I played it for 2 weeks or so I would get bored of it at the 2 weeks mark.
I gave up super early on this one the game aesthetically isn't very pleasing to the eyes, everything looks too clean and environments look like they are too deliberately designed to be shooting arena's or galleries instead of locations with personality. Gameplay wise there game is responsive and the gunplay is nice the movement seems fluid, but hit detection is a big issue, i'm actually surprised a lot of people haven't spoken on this, but it is incredibly bad in some situations.
Most people who have been around to suffer the Ups and Downs of COD likely remember the days of poor hit detection, it's been addressed over the years, but XDefiant takes it to a new level in some regards. I don't know if that will be addressed before official release or not, but at this point I feel like another truly competent Arcade style twitch shooter that isn't trying to be a battle royale or something coming around is just a pipe dream.
