Exclusives are usually what grabs a persons attention. To get them to notice the platform. The ones that got me to notice the PS1 were Philosoma and Jumping Flash. The later would make for a great VR title if they were to reboot it.
Playstation's exclusive, Gravity Rush, is very important. This man knows what he's talking about.
Offering what someone else doesn't will always be important; especially if the offerings are of quality. This is basic stuff that everyone knows.
