Perhaps (and this is a stretch)... the shakeup at XB was the result of them wanting to weed out the staff who are into this whole do the bare minimum and charge a premium for it. Which could mean the leak roadmap is no more and they will actually put some effort into the product before release.

madden has never left top selling list's in the sports games they do not even change logos let alone bring new things into the game so yeah sports games prove we like overpriced repackaged turds. Then you got remakes of remakes of remakes being sold/getting awards and or old games coming back as hd of hd remasters getting awards.

Can not wait till we get hitman ps3 hd but is ps5 hd of hd 4k like they did with the mgs steam collection that sold well but runs worse that my ps3 copy.

It's a shame, they were surprisingly generous with MW 2019. If you were to boot up today, update it of course, you can play offline with every map available and every weapon available. Not the case of course for older titles where it was premium DLC maps and guns. Me and my friends still do this over LAN with the bots, great time. It is possible to have a good call of duty experience, sometimes lol.

2019 was good in that way however I recall taking the disc to a friend's house for a throwback pizza and games night we couldn't play Deathmatch l9cally with it like you could with cod 4 and waw etc. only 1v1 which was odd I thought.

I’ve put a lot of hours in MW2 and I loved DMZ.. I didn’t get MW3 for this reason.. it’s not worth it to me.. but it’s hard to find a game that is as fun.. so they can do as they please and get by with it.

Meh I’m about to sell my MW2 disk for £20 on eBay

I paid £46 for MW3

They can keep the difference of £26, that sounds about right, for some new maps
And a 4hour campaign

Well DMZ is free. So you do at need MW2 or MW3 to play it. But yeah I agree. MW2-while not my cup of tea-came with a lot of MP content.

I absolutely hate this industry and the community is the worst. Sit around and complain all day about things and still dump money into it and mass endorse it, none of the practices that have been taking place recently in the gaming ecosystem has been very good for consumers. They just have us pegged as a consumer that loves to cry wolf and they're completely right, them turning annual releases into glorified DLC pieces was controversial, well controversy is over and it sold just fine so it's a practice that'll be back in the next games. Stop talking about player retention and milestone drop offs like it means something other than people are bored and starting to play other things, nobody cares at that point especially not the publishers, not when they've already gotten your money.

People complain about copy/paste, but Vanguard is quite different from the samey CODs and people still complained. This might not be a very popular opinion, but Vanguard is one of the best CODs since the PS3/X360 era. It has its own vibe and I quite like the witty humor of the operators. Gun play was also very good, so not many complaints from me. I still play it regularly.

I totally agree, had some really cool, interesting multiplayer maps
Plus ran on the engine infinity then Black Ops came the next year with the old engine from terryarch that is basically a modified quake 3 licences engine. Same one cod used for 10 years interestingly same one halo also used for many many years

The 2019 MW was special due to this new engine, offering new physics and a new lighting system.

However having said all that I’m literally done with cod I want something new. Putting my hope on Concord hopefully coming later this year we know nothing about it but it’s from ex Halo/ infinity wars devs and with Sonys backing it should be good!

Also cod is getting a little bit silly, it’s a military, the shooter but it’s moving in a totally stupid direction, the new playlist we can unlock a laserbeam thing from “the boys” series, something straight outta x-men

My thinking is …So if you want a sci-fi shooter just buy a sci-fi shooter leave it out of military shooter

This is why I go to concord when it releases

I agree with you on the silliness. Too many things that have nothing to do with the COD everyone knows. Until people stop paying for those packs/add-ons, they will keep releasing them. I'm also curious about Concord. Competition is always good.
