Remedy Logo Facing Trademark Dispute From Rockstar Games Parent Take-Two Interactive

Remedy Entertainment is facing a trademark dispute from Take-Two Interactive over their recently revamped R logo from early last year.

Jin_Sakai126d ago (Edited 126d ago )

The Take Two lawyers must be really bored. It’s an R for crying out loud. Talk about waste of time and money.

Asplundh126d ago

They've been around longer than Rockstar, maybe they should dispute their logo.

LucasRuinedChildhood125d ago

Even weirder, Take Two owns the rights to the Max Payne IP and Remedy are doing Max Payne remakes.

This must be incredibly awkward.

RaidenBlack126d ago

oh R*
no RDR2 next gen update ... appalling GTA remasters ... but instead busy with these shenanigans ...
for crying out loud ... you guys teamed up with Remedy for the Max Payne Remakes!

porkChop126d ago

This isn't Rockstar though. It's Take-Two.

When your friend from school is cool but has the worst parents

Inverno126d ago

Their priorities are not where they should be.

coolbeans126d ago (Edited 126d ago )

Many will just hand-wave this as a frivolous lawsuit, but I see it another way: T2 doing *anything* in their power to convince Remedy that their old logo was perfect.

Inverno126d ago

They're old logo was perfect. Simplified logos are a plague

Great news it shows that Nintendo intends to continue developing ports of AAA games to its next gen platform

H913h ago

Buying studios from embracer now is a great deal, they must be dirt cheap at this point, Nintendo is a opportunist, they wait until someone fall so they get their best deal

OtterX7h ago

That is some serious brain gymnastics you have going on there. 🤔

H95h ago

I didn't do any gymnastics I can assure you, honestly I don't know why you think that, not hating I seriously don't see why you think that

ZeekQuattro2h ago

Yeah I don't know where that came from. It's rare for Nintendo to flat out aquire studios. Guess they were trying to be edgy but why flex on this studio. 🤣

banger8813h ago

I hope someone buys Piranha Bytes, their future isn't looking good right now. I love their RPGs, they're janky as f***, but they have heart and soul.

Nintendo saw the Mortal Kombat 1 Switch port and were like, "Yeah, these guys are worth acquiring."

You can't make this crap up lol

Profchaos8h ago

Mortal Kombat 1 was never going to port well I'm sure they told wb it wasn't going to work but wb wants that sweet sweet 140 million install base

In the end wb approved the project cleared the milestones and allowed the product to release

SonOfOsiris4h ago

Yeah this guys ported MK11 which is great, Hogwarts Legacy which is great, and MK1 is now ok, play it every day
