This just looks like the old school AC games like AC1 to AC3 with shiny graphics! we are in 2023 not 2010 I expect more innovation the combat looks sub par the AI is stuck in Ps3 era
At least it's not like Valhalla wow that was a borefest after 20 hours!

This is just a run of the mill Ubisoft game sad times!

Huey_My_D_Long249d ago

I'm saddened that I agree with the sentiment

neutralgamer1992249d ago

Absolutely it looks like a higher res AC1 with less content

Tacoboto249d ago

I remember the first game as being really short and thought "No way!"

Well yes way. HowLongToBeat has AC1 several hours longer in all three time categories...

And the game isn't even on Steam so they're not getting my money any time soon

The effort here is so laughably minimal; this game deserves a score of 5, tops.

The maddenization of this franchise is in full swing at this juncture and I don't see anything saving it. The parkour system is stiff, outdated, and in dire need of streamlining. The animation work needs overhauling. The NPCS and main characters need updating - they look like shit. The combat needs reworking. The buildings and other world assets are in dire need of updating. The whole structure is uninspired and rotten.

Assassin's Creed is pure, utter laziness and copy/paste cardboard banality.

I usually recoil at the term 'reimagine' but I think it's exactly what this series needs.

I could take this take word for word and apply it to starfield/any Bethesda game

Huey_My_D_Long248d ago

@GrizzliS1987
Glad I'm not the only one that feels that way. I love Ubisoft titles and AC series, but i'm not gonna defend them when they just wont learn their lesson, like people have been doing with Bethesda.

Roiu89249d ago

Valhalla was one of my personal favourite AC's and I've played them all, Origins is probably the best one in my opinion.

JeffGUNZ249d ago

Yeah, I don't get the hate for Valhalla, I loved it. I also enjoy the Vikings culture, so maybe that helped?

Profchaos249d ago

I do think they needed to do something new however the formula was getting stale after Valhalla again but back to basics was not the right call

Let's pack 10 year old gameplay with modern day price, profit.

Really enjoyed Origins, can we go back to that? Odyssey and Valhalla were fun for some time but way too bloated

RhinoGamer88249d ago

I will buy it at $34.99 on Black Friday...fair price.

GoodGuy09249d ago

Quite the mixed reviews but mostly positive. I think I'll pick it up though because I loved classic AC and it's $50.
