I was a huge fan of the early AC games, but hated the later ones starting with Origins. Ubisoft has been shitting the bed for nearly 10 years now with endless grind, resource collecting, upgrades, loot boxes, and micro-trash-actions. This seems to be their acknowledgement that they've strayed too far from the original concept of the series, which is good. However, I won't be giving them my money. I believe in voting with my wallet, and Ubisoft no longer gets my money, even if this looks to be the best AC game in a very long time, though I doubt the story will be worth a damn, they ran out of ideas for it after part 3, which itself was a bit of a mess. Once you lose my respect, its almost impossible to earn it back, and thus earn my money. Too little, too late.
