In an extremely uncommon move, Microsoft has deleted an unobtainable Xbox achievement from a game, allowing users to finally complete Xbox Game Pass newcomer Homestead Arcana.
Seems like the developers didn't want to worry about handling that headache, so requested MS just drop the cheevo and divy up the points across other ones.
Kinda sucks when people put the hours in for most of the achievement, just for it to be deleted.
That's not rectified because anyone who did everything but skipped this one, also meets the requirement( by not having to work for it at all). There is no solace for people finding out they put the hours into grinding something that they found out was bugged to begin with, was for nothing, because the developers decided it was easier to just delete the achievement.

But can anyone outright skip this one while playing the game *naturally* and going for the other achievements? To be clear, I'm ignorant about this game's campaign and whatnot, so I don't know. I'm sure the super-dedicated types lost some time (unfortunately), but this seems like the best solution for all parties.
I wish Naughty Dog would do this with The Last of Us and Uncharted 4. With servers shut down, you're screwed. Multiplayer should be secondary (extra) trophies that have nothing to do with the platinum because servers innevidably shut down
