For me, this offering is not worth doubling the cost of Live over. This shows for me the inevitable bait and switch that EVERY sub service succumbs too when they can’t output solid content of their own consistently (like HBO and PS).

Not a bad game, but not something I need to play either. It’s like Birdbox on Netflix for me: low expectations, but I feel like I should watch it because I essentially paid for it already.

For me, I’m more inclined to play a scarier game this time of year. I’m currently choosing to instead replay Alien Isolation while playing Scorn.

Not a bad collection, but for all of us with backlogs up in the 100s (500something personally) they are not worth the Subscription money and you would probably already have most of these games, from all the sales they have been in over the years. It would have been cool, though, to see something like cyberpunk 2077, red dead redemption 2 sp, metro exodus, biomutant or something of this sort.

Humble choice has been good the latest months too!

EDGY! So I should just throw away my library consisting of almost every AAA that came out the last 5 years, every single EA game (except for the cursed sport titles), every single blizzard game, every single cd project red game, almost every single Bethesda/Zenimax game and the list goes on ... to play WHAT?! It is time that I don't have plenty of, not the ability to choose what I want to play ...

For anyone wondering, only buy on sales and keys (mostly steam), get every single epic free game and then use playnite to combine all the libraries together (far better than GOG Galaxy) and then buy some 14TB enterprise drives to have everything ready and on the go to play whenever you like!

GP doesn't get those bigger budget titles very often,it seems to get a more consistent release of low-budget & Indie titles more often but this month it does have the new Plague:Requiem & though it's old the ultimate version of Persona 5:R.

How many AAA do you see getting released per month in 2022?
Personally, I see Gamepass having a similar showing compared to Humble Bundle quality-wise (just newer games) Usually 1 -2 AA or AAA known titles, 2-4 established indies, and 2-4 low experimental ones.

Persona5 R is old if you have a PS4(5) for the rest of PPL it's a new AAA game.
Last I checked there are a bunch of articles today about Uncharted reviews on PC with legendary scores and I'm pretty sure that Sony isn't treating this PC game like it's an old discount game.

Uncharted 5 is also a 2016 game but aside from PS4(5) users who played it? and I sony considering the PC launch as a discount game or a completely new AAA release?
The same applies here as only on Playstation (3 to 5) was Persona 5 available, all other versions are slated for October 2022 (Switch, Xbox, PC).

Actually, that begs the question Why is Sony porting the game on PC a70$ if, according to you, most folks have played it?

Also, do you expect every AA to be published on Gamepass?
Sniper Elite 5, Pac Man museum+, Plague Tales2, TMNT Shredders Revenge, As Dusk Falls, and Two point Campus have been released on day 1 on Gamepass in the last 6 months I could add hyped games like Scorn, Trek to Yomi, and Disney Dreamlight valley.

The question you should ask yourself is aside from the freebies from EPIC games how much money do you pay per month to get these games and how many games from EPIC games have you played?

Personally, I subscribed to Gamepass because I was spending tons of money on Steams, Humble choice (and bundles), and PSN sales where I would buy good games at half the price.
Thing was that I was never playing these games because I was still playing my favorite one or playing the newest one.

And just like you, I picked every freebie from Epic (300 + games now) but I only played 3 ( Demon tilt, Axiom Verge, Samurai Showdown).

Now it cost me an average of 10$ per month, I put tons of games in the I want to play list, and play some of these games ( Immortality is such a gem), and also lots of games are leaving before I can get the chance to play them showing that if bought they would be sitting in the similar 100+ games to play backlog that I have.
Ohh and I still catch every freebies on EPIC, PSN, GOG, Steam that I can find.

I had to reply to you here. I own a PS5 & an XBSX & though P5:R is being released for current-gen consoles with all dlc Persona 5 is still an old game. The original was initially released in 2016 (6 years ago) & the initial release for P5:R was in 2019, which was 3 years ago. There are a few titles that have been released that didn't land on GP,some may be considered AA titles such as Soulstice,Destroy Humans 2,Asterigos,SteelRising & Saints Row which are decent titles. The new Ghostbusters game just released Gotham Knights is releasing Friday. Next week is Star Ocean & the new Call Of Duty & none of those games are appearing on GP this month,not even this year. Again most titles that currently land on GP are low budget & Indie along with big-budget titles that are old or most folks have played already.

Thank you for the motivation to self ponder upon thyself magister ... although I should point out that I actually don't get every free game from the epic store, only the ones I want, which is around 100 titles. I have actually bought almost all of the rest 400 games and I rarely buy the Humble Bundles or choice, unless they are really good (I also have like 100-150 physical games). But jokes aside, I found myself more often than not wondering what to play while being bombarded by choices, often times sitting down to play and then realising that 2 hours have passed and I have played NOTHING. But isn't this part of the fun, sometimes I would collect the in-game collectibles and other times expand my actual real life collection 😅. Now when I WANT to play something, I simply sit down and play until the game is finished.

But trouth be told, I actually have written code (c++) for games and I was an author of a big mod for a well known game (you might have even played it), although I won't disclose more, so I tend to like to try out new games with new mechanics because I like the functional part of the machine as much as I like the whole, so changing around games is fun.

Also some notable really good games in the epic store you should check out are: Plague tale innocence, Abzu, alien isolation, Amnesia (old + new), borderlands 2 / pre / 3, brother a tale of..., cities skyline, close to the sun, control, costume quest 2, Daemon X Machina, Demon's Tilt, Darkwood, Dead by daylight, elite dangerous, Enter the gungeon, Fez, hand of fate 2, In sound Mind, Jotun, Just Cause 4, Layers of fear 1+2, Metro 2033, Mutant year zero, Nioh, Prey, Rage 2 (sigh), rayman legends, the tomb Raider 3 pack,second extinction, Battlefront 2, SUBNAUTICA (that one is a must), Super Hot, the vanishing of Ethan Carter, vampire, watchdogs 2, world War 2, tyranny
^^and these are just a few, I mean we have some great games in there and a lot of them are in gamepass too, why would you not play these games?!
Hell, I have played most of them and some are in the gamepass list of new games aswell.

The thing is, I had gamepass and then I realized that half of the games in gamepass I already had and the other half I didn't want, but I do realize I'm the exception ... I even own state of decay 2 and sea of Thieves ...bought at full price 😬

Yeah but I DO spend MORE than the gamepass subscription per month on games. But with humble for instance, the game is yours until the dawn of time, with gamepass you own nothing. Also P5 is old news for us that own every console.

As I said, I use GP (and PS premium) more in a way to prevent me from impulsive purchases in every sale. Is it the best usage of GP? probably not since I'll play (see try) 1 to 3 games per month but it prevents me from buying games at 20-30$ that would basically sit in a backlog forever. For the record, I have around 1100 to 1300 digital purchases on PC (lots of dupes), around 400 digitals titles on consoles (PS5, Serie X, and Nintendo), and around 430 physical games ( over the year).
So yeah lots of money was spent on impulsive sales or opportunities (see how I got a series X and Ps5 when I mainly play on PC).

Also, I understand the concept of buying a digital game versus renting one, but like I said what's the difference between owning a digital game you will never play versus not having it? It's not like you can resell it

And yeah I do understand that Persona Royal is an old game if you played it on PS3-4-5 just like Hades was an old game for me when it was released on Xbox/PS4 still not everybody owns all platforms (and every time I wonder myself why I do purchase all of them :)).

Sounds more like a self-control problem. When you have money to throw down the drain you just BUY BUY BUY and then you never use the goods you have acquired. Personally I avoid this by having a 3 step process.

Step 1 to not impulse buy: Never buy anything above the 20€ mark unless it will be a certain FULL playthrough (GTA V for instance that I bought 3 times at full price and I have more than 1000 hours in ... definitely worth every penny).

Step 2: Never buy anything at first sight. Add the game to your steam wishlist and then rank the list with no1 the games you are most luckily to play.

Step 3: Do not be afraid of starting a game because you would more than luckily dump it at 10% of the story. I found myself playing the brain-dead mario and zelda games in my switch rather than AAA in pc just because they were easy to instantly drop in and out of in the long run.

Step 3 leads us to step 4: DO not let the sear amount of games you have ditter you from buying one more 😅.

Step 5: BUY games based on their feel - skip games that you simply like SOME mechanics - only buy the really heavy hitters. For instance: FH5 > The Crew 2 ... only buy FH5 and then when you finish it buy the crew 2.

Step 6: Use custom libraries with only the heavy hitters to get a good sense of your library ... most indies are garbage time waisters that alter your perception of your library and overwhelm you.

Step 7: Accept that you hoard games like one would hoard food to outlive an apocalypse and just live with it.

I played the original & it was so good. It's traditional turn base is fun,the graphics are nice,the storytelling is so great,likeable characters & the soundtrack is so good as well if you like Acid Jazz. P5:Royal improves on the original with more storytelling & a new character. The game can take you well over a hundred hours to complete & it's well worth it.

P5R I don't think will be a good idea to get gamepass for with it being 120+hrs lol. But if you're already subscribed and plan to be for a long time then it's a good ass deal.
