Assyrians are the indigenous people of modern day Iraq which is what I am. What the heck Ubisoft?! Why are we not included in this game...

Westerners are not educated about ancient mesopotamia. It's terrorist land and nothing else in the eyes of westerners.

@GraniteT

We are at least partially responsible for what is occurring in the Middle East. We (The US and Britain) supported the Shah's regime to suppress dissent with terror tactics like violent crackdowns and torture. Most of the Arab peninsula is armed with weapons (explosives and bombs) created by the US and the West.

We support or have supported most brutal dictatorships/terrorism cells in the Levant and Central Asia for decades including Iraq, Egypt, Afghan Mujahideen and at one point Iran.

France, Russia(former Soviet Union) and Turkey also have had involvement in stoking violence in those regions that often spiral out of control.

It's actually more apt to say that we are taught about Mesopotamia when we're young (elementary/junior high) but then we're re-educated by the media in high school and beyond.

@Colbertinator
The Shah was not the wrong guy to back up. It was the west’s overthrowing of Mossadegh (democratically elected prime minister of Iran) that paved the way for the current regime there.

On topic of Assassins creed, mesopotamia, babylon, whats modern day Iraq was not just “Arab”, it was closer to Persian, and Assyrian cultures of the time. Modern day Iraq is an Arab mostly Shiite nation though.

The post Islamic Iraq was either under the control of the Caliphate empire, or one of the Persian empires (Sassanid empire, or Partinian empire)

Judging by the ending of the trailer is safe to say it'll probably be over the top. I just hope they tie it to that advanced civ that created the pieces of Eden. Genuinely curious how this'll turn out, really hope it's an evolution of where Infinite and left off gameplay wise

I can get my head around the Sci-Fi first civilisation aspect, I liked that but they seemed to ditch it for mystical, mystic shit where it had no place

Pick either Sci-Fi or Fantasy…don’t try and do both when you built up the former first

“Any sufficiently advanced technology is indistinguishable from magic.”

And, honestly, I'm guessing they will have stuff about the primordial kings.

It would have been better if they sold it as a DLC like originally planned.
