Im prob in the minority here but i really miss the sprite look of the series. i started to lose interest after [the many iterations of] 4. I'd honestly love to see Capcom make a new FF than SF but... here we are.

RaidenBlack731d ago

I kinda like the new SF6 look. (except Chun Li's ... not a fan)

babadivad731d ago

Yeah, Chun looks weird in this trailer.

TriniOutsider731d ago

You realize the characters are aging right? That's why she looks the way she looks.

gamer7804731d ago

I hope they atleast bring back her iconic outfit and not just the alternate

Rebel_Scum731d ago

And how bulked up everyone looks. They're all so wide.

SyntheticForm731d ago

I agree completely; not feeling this modern vibe. Both the art style and the music put me off. If you're taking about Final Fight, I'm with you. Saw the nod to it on the billboards with Metro City.

Dandalandan117731d ago

I've been dreaming of a Street Fighter game with similar art style to ArcSys games. That would be awesome!

asapas8730d ago

They need to release a game in style of SFA3 or SF3 third strike. Would be amazing

Sony definitely didn't want to pay for this iteration to only be on their console.

Either that or Capcom didn't want one of their most iconic IPs to be on just one console.

Good to see it coming back to Xbox

darthv72730d ago

Capcom fulfilled their agreement with Sony, and stated they wouldn't do that kind of deal again. They lost out on a lot more sales than they wanted to.

Lightning77730d ago

Xbox sales are much better this time around compared to last gen with the edition of gamepass. Capcom isn't gonna stick to PS and PC this time around. These days you need all the exposure you can get with a AAA game.

SurgicalMenace730d ago (Edited 730d ago )

Wow....last gen to now is proof enough of SFV success and staying power. The only reason it's leaving is because of SF6. The second quote came straight from an Evo rep reporting on the list of games most popular to least.

Dog walked? We're in the comment section of a gaming site. You've got to be very short of success in the real world if you place any value on your prowess here. Calm down, I gave sources that also supported what I said, which is an action of respect to those who have more credentials than myself.

Loved how you conveniently overlooked "Starting off the list with the BIGGEST name" to go on with your over inflated, self promoting, toxic jibberish. I can see in your communications that you're a very small person who doesn't have many accomplishments to speak of. I mean, you have to wake up as you every day, not us. Keep up the great work, you're on your way, champ.😁

Not feeling the art style.

specialguest730d ago

I was slightly disappointed with the same character model look they decided keep from the last 2 SF game. Characters are too thick and muscular. I was hoping they went with something closer to realistic proportions

babadivad731d ago (Edited 731d ago )

Kind of saw this coming.

LucasRuinedChildhood731d ago

Tbh, it's a fighting game. It's not really one of those games were being crossgen would change the design of the game.

nevin1731d ago

So what would make the PS5 version $10 higher than the PS4 version if the design won't change?

LucasRuinedChildhood731d ago (Edited 731d ago )

@nevin1

Greed, basically. Loads of crossgen games are an extra $10 on next gen (with the same design of course).

SugarSoSweet730d ago

It might effect the limit of the animations and expressiveness of the characters which tend to be more CPU dependant. Those Jaguar cores on the PS4 are truly horrible....

Yui_Suzumiya730d ago

I only play on a Switch OLED and primarily visual novels and FPS's so it doesn't effect me, lol

gamer7804731d ago

Only ps4. Very odd. Probably cause of ps5 supply issues

NotoriousWhiz731d ago

Didn't even notice that. That is odd. But PS4 is better tech than the Xbox One so it gives them a higher lowest common denominator.

ABizzel1731d ago

What is Street Fighter as a Fighting Game doing that pushes hardware to the point that it's not possible to run on last-gen?

Street Fighter 6 Balance Patches Will Be "More Frequent" Than Yearly, Director Says

According to Director Takayuki Nakayama, Street Fighter 6 balance patches will now be pushed from "time to time" instead of annually.

PapaBop3d ago

Honestly they should create a balance schedule and stick to it. "From time to time" is ambiguous and with the competitive scene booming, the last thing we need is NRS like knee jerk balance patches. I think twice a year is fair, half way through a season and then the start of the next season.
