Another interesting title for PlayStation that's right up my alley. Waiting for the day that we get a real Bruce Lee type game at the level of the top AAA games. Until then, games like Sifu will fit the bill. Already got my cinematic, movie influenced samurai/ninja fix with Ghost of Tsushima. Just need a martial arts game at that level.

Getting flashbacks of Rise to Honor. Maybe I should play that again just for kicks. Lol. I made a pun.

I want Five Deadly Venoms: The Game, or Shoalin The 36 Chambers. Just watched The Kid With The Golden Arms the other day.

Lol. You bringing memories back from the kung fu network days where friends and I went to another friend's house who had cable and we'd watch while his mother was at work. But he'd get busted because the house smelled funky from all the guys and the food. We tried to air it out, but sometimes she'd get off early and catch us. He'd get restriction because he was supposed to be watching his twin baby sister and brother by himself. We'd figured we were keeping him company and bringing food. Also watching the babies. His mom eventually let some of us stay. Saw so many kung fu films. Some were crazy cheesy. Lol.

I think I got deadly venoms on my Netflix list. Now I need to watch again this weekend.

yeah a legit Shaw bros kung fu game would be dope. I have all of those old movies on dvd but I was hyped to see them on Netflix. I just watched “five elements ninjas” on Netflix it’s great. It’s called “Chinese super ninjas” on my dvd lol.

For me it was NYC the mid 80s Saturday channel 5 drive in movies double feature from 3pm to 6pm, eating Ramen noodles with chop sticks while watching. Then when it was commercial time I'd practice with the nunchuckas, 3 section staff, or wooden sword I made myself.

Good times, good times.

@sourOG you should check out Tubi.tv a free app that has a lot of the old classic kung fu movies, like Super Ninjas or Jade Claw, 8 diagram pole fighter, 8 masters of Shaolin, and more. Also many 80s and 90s B horror movies, The gate, House, C.H.U.D., Maniac Cop and more.

lodossrage1086d ago

Five Deadly Venoms and 36 Chambers......seriously just how old are you people. I thought I was the only ancient one around here.

Chevalier1086d ago

You know the talk about these old movies is pretty awesome. Cool that this game brought us oldies together. Lol

Knushwood Butt1086d ago

C.H.U.D

Class. I remember that one.

One day I'll watch C.H.U.D. 2, Bud the Chud!

ApocalypseShadow1085d ago

Yeah. 80s was some good times. Kung Fu, the rise in anime from shows like Speed Racer and Robotech, women in leotards, bright colors, rap and MTV when MTV was about videos. Lol. Yeah. We're old.

Lodossrage, yeah. Most of us are up there. I guess you as well. Lol. It's why after all these years, all of us expect the games to be great. We've seen it all. And we can tell when top executives talk a good game, but not delivering anything. And some gamers wonder why we try to tell them they are being lied to or misled.

Because the surprise inside that Cracker Jack box they think is good value is going to come back and bite them in the ass.

Knushwood Butt1085d ago

For me it was Channel 4 in the UK that got me into Hong Kong films. One Christmas in the early 90s they ran a season of Jackie Chan films consisting of Police Story, Project A, Wheels on Meals, and Armour of God. Not sure why but I taped them all and they blew me away. Anything else paled in comparison.

I was more of a Golden Harvest fan. Some of that stuff will never be bettered.

sourOG1085d ago

I will look into that thanks. Wu tang got me into kung fu movies lol. If you like hip hop and kung fu movies you owe it to yourself to watch “iron fist pillage”. It might be hard to find but it’s one of my favorites for sure.

Can FSR 3 frame generation deliver the 120fps dream on PS5 and Xbox?

Frame generation technology has arrived on consoles, amplifying frame-rates and potentially transforming experiences.

adds between 8.3-15.3 milliseconds of latency on the game they tested, - no thanks

darksky19h ago

Base latency is 130.8ms and frame gen takes that up to 139.1ms. A 7% increase in latency is hardly a deal breaker.

Zenzuu18h ago

That's hardly a deal breaker and not really noticeable. Even the folks at Digital Foundry said so as well.

darthv721d 12h ago

Impressive results... sadly I don't have a 120hz display. I was thinking this technique could increase fps on any game that supports it regardless of the display.

purple1011d 12h ago (Edited 1d 12h ago )

I have a vrr telly in the lounge,

On another point, what if it were the other way around where the developer aims for higher fps, then used something like pssr to make the resolution higher, that might be better?

Any which way, PS5 pro sure looks interesting now, being they have already doubled frame rate, with JUST just this fsr3.0

sagapo17h ago

It’s up to dev’s to implement FSR 3 support tho but most probably will I guess (hope).

Eonjay3h ago

Yes it would increase the framerate but it would add more noticeable latency. The impact of latency goes down the more natural frames produced. So a monitor that can push bast 60 will naturally allow the game to operate much smoother. Add VRR to this and now you have a much more enjoyable experience.

BlackDoomAx19h ago

Can it deliver the 60fps dream?

purple1019h ago(Edited 9h ago)

no, it delivers approx 80fps.

which is why I say why not target 60fps with this new tech and use the upscaling pssr, (Sonys version of Nvidia's DLSS, that seems so popular in the pc realm)

then we have best of both, better believe ps5pro will be doing all the above.

andy8518h ago

Now I've extensively tried it I'm not too fussed about 120 fps. Give me a locked 60 and more details and I'm more than happy

anast14h ago(Edited 14h ago)

120 is a bit slow. My eyes can't look at anything less than 260fps.
