Employees Strike as Blizzard Cut 285 Jobs Despite Record Profits

This comes following a letter written to all employees of the French Blizzard office. It comes from no less than three workers Unions. It advised yesterday that all employees of the Versailles office should down tools today. In their own words,

The whole world is really a mess right now. Instead of focusing on the wellbeing, health, and environment of the planet the world is focused on making money. If corporations were rewarded as much for how they treated people and the environment as they are for making money then maybe the world would be a lot better place right now.

Blizzard has had a history of exploiting people. This is nothing new and definitely not new for Activision. People only complain about #$%& when it happens to them. The French office had no problems working for a company like this when they were getting paid, all the while knowing what Act/Blizz were like. Have fun with the protest, they will be working for another "#$% company again when their water bill comes.

You don’t get to choose what company you work for. Only what companies you can apply to, and then maybe get chosen.

You do know that you can say no right? I've interviewed at companies that I later turned down as they just didn't seem like a good place to work. I took a new job just a few months ago and gladly took a pay cut because I could see it was a good place to work.

I won’t ever buy a Blizz game anymore.
There are plenty of other good game companies and games out there. We as consumers must punish such filthy behavior.
